Well, maybe "right back" was something of a misnomer....

I don't think the sun is ever going to come back out around here. Thank god I've been taking vit.D regularly, or this spell of gray gloominess would *really* do a number on me.

Workouts this week got shuffled around a little bit...Saturday was supposed to be a "long" run of 4-5, but it was thunderstorming/lightning when I got home from working at the library, and then I just needed to do school stuff, so I bagged it and ran Sunday. 4.5 miles on a hilly riverwalk trail in downtown Columbia; nice, but the knees definitely felt it yesterday.

Today is my speed/interval day, but depending on the availability of TM's at the Strom after class tonight, I might switch intervals to Thursday and just do straight easy mileage tonight. Need at least 3. Feeling good and positive about the progress I'm making towards Glass City....wOOt! :)

Ok, gotta go dry my hair and head to school. I still laugh every time I say those words!

Good runs and good days, all!

OH! And Timr, soooooo glad your DD is ok. Scary stuff yesterday, for sure!

Good morning. I hope everybody has a happy Tuesday...

I went out for a run at the track last night. It was dark and chilly and rainy and foggy. No wonder I was the only one there. Anyway, after a little less than 3 miles, I tried to adjust my Garmin on my wrist and I ended up ripping the watchband off. Oops. I stoppd the run right there to make sure I didn't lose any parts. It was too dark to put the thing back together outside, so I had to go inside to verify that I had everything I needed to fix it. I did, but by the time I did that, I didn't feel like going back out. So just a short run for me last night...

7 on the treadmill for me. It was very tough mentally to get going given that last time I was on that thing I was thrown into a massive hurt locker for about 12 hours. But, I got past it (besides wanting to stop about 10 times)....

Fun for me --> lunch with my daddio. Can't wait.

Morning all! As Missy said it's quite mild here today, was a capri run for me ... 8.7 mi in total and great chit-chat to make the time fly by.

I can’t get enough of Oskar!!

Missy – wow, crazy world travelers … very cool!

Tim – from the other day, Gobbles was last seen in Philly on marathon day a couple yrs back; he may have suffered fatal injuries that day, I recall at least one wing being detached

boB – I’ve man-handled the band right off my Garmin too, last winter ... hands were frozen and not working, I was impatient and wanted my shirt off NOW so I could get in the shower. Garmin took the hit and

QOD - remember when Voo used that little guy in Madison to draft behind

Morning peeps.

First off, I'm blaming a few of you for last night. I got home, changed immediately into "lounge wear", took off all my jewelry, and while I was making supper, ate the better part of an avocado.

I also practiced guitar for nearly an hour, but spent part of that time trying to tune my guitar and COMPLETELY screwed up! I was turning the wrong peg! Oy. took me a good 10 mins to correct my mistake.

No exercise to report, but I unexpectedly have no plans tonight, so I will try to get in a short run.

Oh. I guess I never mentioned, I just heard, I didn't get the job I interviewed for back in November. I'd been in touch with them all along and I was still a candidate until they made their decision, but honestly, if they'd liked me, they wouldn't have kept interviewing, would they? So I was pretty sure I wasn't going to get it. Ah well.

Missy, Kath and I were talking about the near drowning the other day! Also, Goon's on FB a lot, I keep in touch with her there. I also occasionally chat with Winter.

I miss being able to type emoticons...I'd use more if I didn't have to choose them from the menu.

I've been reading cheapo chick lit on my kindle. There's a ton of it that's <$3, and since I'd pay that at the thrift shop for a book, I'm ok with it. I do like this one author I've been reading lately, Jill Mansell. Her books remind me a bit of those of Elinor Lipman and Elizabeth Berg.

a total of 2 miles running this morning then 30 mins of intervals on the TM

Me too. Menu is STUPID. I particularly miss :violent1: which is , but it took a good 30 secs for the menu to load all the way down to the bottom where that is, rather than the 1.5 sec it took me to type the code.
