<p>It drives me crazy when those lug nuts are tightened too much.  I have actually bent tire irons sometimes trying to get them off.</p>

<p>That was the case here.  It was a chore trying to even move the tire iron.  I used my foot and it took quite a bit of force on each.  Not sure why they adjust the torque so high on the air wrenches.</p>

<p>Uggh.  Hope you heal fast.  I keep an extended lug wrench in my car to loosen the lug nuts.  Plus a pair of work gloves to soften the vibrations when those lug nuts crack.  Ouch.</p>

<br><br><p>Yeahbut...in some cases for me, I have actually BENT the lug wrench.  It wasn't a question of my strength.</p>

<p>Tech Tee, that was my fear as well.  I was worried about either bending it or stripping it, and that should NEVER be a fear with me.</p>

<p>Last fall while changing Sweetum's tires over to winter I discovered one lug was cross threaded by the grease monkey who put her new summer tires on earlier in the year.  So I snapped it off.</p>

<p>Tore a shoulder muscle once playing volleyball of all things.  It is quite painful.</p>

<p>I had to change a tire Sunday night with a van full of tired kids.  Blah.  Took me a bit to figure out how to get the spare down/unhitched.  I hate space saver spares. </p>

<p>Don't drive around forever on that small tire. I see people all the time with those tires and they have wear on them! They are Temporary!</p>

Heh.  No worries.  DW brought it into Costco and had the valve replaced.  Good as new and mounted back up.  We hate driving on them so we try to get the tire fixed ASAP. <br>
