So I'm having this discussion with a person of the opposite gender - and it involves bringing your partner to the Big O.
 
This picture is actually pretty accurate on what it takes.....

Your post instantly reminded me of something I read about a woman being like a basil leaf. I read it years ago, and wasn't sure I could even find it again. So, I googled "rub woman warm basil leaf."
 
And I found that quote!
 
I'm still not sure who wrote it. It may have been some ancient Arab or Persian sage (continuing with the herbal theme...)
 
Here it is:

I would agree that we're not much different as it relates to motivation (read: desire), but I'm not sure we're the same as to what it takes to be satisfied.
 
For instance - I think I speak for MOST men - a physical release is our end goal - we are 'physically' satisfied. I've been told; by others - in different contexts that for women - the 'trip' is more important than the destination. Men LOVE the trip - but I think we're more focused on the destination (climax) - and without that - the trip seems to lose some of it's 'flavor'?
 
Not sure it that make sense...

Just to clarify - this conversation was NOT had 'on the road' of the trip - and it was NOT had with a 'travel' partner at any time during any of my journeys.....

I am pretty sure that this is NOT a dial on any guy - we just have the on/off switch. Walk up to just about any guy and say, 'You wanna have sex ?" and he'll be ready physically before the last syllable is completed!
 
 
I should clarify - I would assume and I do know from experience - (I get lucky on occasion) that the destination IS important to a woman - but I guess I mean to ask - is the TRIP more important to a woman (or the prepping for the trip) than to a man?

You're right. That is rather "chicky" of me. To clarify, it doesn't have to happen that way--ie: you can be as dumb as a rock, but being smart gets things going a lot faster.
 
Me? The pre trip/trip is necessary only for the destination.

Do you make your partner figure out your combination all by himself or do you come (no pun intended) with instructions??? Meaning is it discussed - or suggested if he's turning one knob and it's really another dial that needs tweeked?
 
 
Again - I contend that men are really on/off - and we're pretty much guaranteed to get to the 'destination' without much other influences (smart; witty; emotionally there.. etc.... ).. In fact, I think with enough beer even 'pretty' isn't required! (at least that's what I've heard!!!)
