<p>I'm taking my first statistics class. I'm actually excited. I was accepted into the local university this fall provided I pass this class at community college this quarter. So, I can't fuck this up. I will <strong><em>live</em></strong> at the math tutor center on campus. I should bring a tent and a tin can. What a luxury it is to be able to study and learn and stuff. I'm lucky.</p>

Thanks. I've already read and copied chapter 1. In math-y subjects I find that hand-copying the text really makes it stick. It takes a long time, but it works. Plus, I'm getting a tutor and joining some math-support group on campus. Maybe we'll sit around and share our feelings about math and weep.</p>

<p>I had German class tonight, but I'm skipping it - they're just watching a movie and I watch German TV a lot already. I'm leaving tomorrow for Chicago for two days, so I'll probably spend the evening working and then packing for my trip.</p>

<p>Well, I did a 6.5 mile run after work and then 15 minutes of rowing.  I just fixed two small hamburgers for supper.  The rest of the evening will divided between playing with the cat and dog, getting things ready for work tomorrow and maybe practicing a little bit of German before bedtime.</p>

<p>Slight correction to supper: I am only  having 1 and1/2 hamburgers as the dog reached up on the table and took part of my first hamburger while I was getting a glass of water.</p>

<p>I took a last minute vacation day from work today so Antag and I could get our apartment organized. We went to Ikea (bought rugs), ran by my old apartment, bought a side table at pier 1, bought furniture (yay!!), and hung up pictures. I just made us dinner and we will probably go out for a walk and frozen yogurt soon.</p>
