Why do you run? For my health, both mentally and physically. This is ME time. My time to run when it is relatively quiet and I can clear my mind. I am/was/will be a Pre-dawn runner.

2. What is your greatest accomplishment? By far my two kids and marrying my soulmate.

3. What is your motto/theme song? None.

4. How do you deal with bad runs? Get pissed off and vow to run better next time. Then I look at my Forerunner and see that the ‘bad’ run turns out to be a PR for me! Happens every time.

5. Do you reward yourself for good runs? How? No rewards for me.

6. Who do you admire most? My FIL. 8th grade education, 7 kids and he just continues to amaze me with what he does and what he has accomplished, thus far, in his 80 yrs here on Earth.

7. What is the greatest advice you have ever received? “Slow down…you’re running too fast.” Did I listen? NO. Should I have listened? Yes!

8. What do wish you had learned younger? How to play an instrument. To this day I can’t even read a note of music.

9. What do you wish you could do but can't? Control my road rage.

10. How would your friends describe your personality? Easy going, helpful, compassionate to no end, able and willing, considerate, a good friend.

11. What do you wear running? favorite outfit? No favorite outfit. I just grab some dri fit shorts and a tech shirt. In the winter I layer it up a bit more.

12. What has been your favorite race? City of Lakes 25K…my furthest distance ever run for a race.

13. Do you have a goal race right now? I would dearly love to run one marathon in my lifetime…Cellcom Marathon in Green Bay, WI.

14. What makes you happy? Being with my family and a good cup of coffee.

15. You have no idea...no idea. Even my kids know. Mostly it is just a lot of steam, swearing up a blue streak and saying "Minnesota nice...my ass!"

Hi Todd! I'm glad we share coffee in the mornings.

I love how you live in MN and understatedly say you "layer it up a bit more" to run in the winter.

How is your recovery going? I truly hope you get to Green Bay, and think you've got a great chance.

Todd,

I played drums for a year, flute for 2, piano for 4, and took singing lessons for 2. It would take a LOT of practice for me to read musical notes now, so don't feel so bad!

As for road rage - try classical music, it helps!

It's very nice to know more about you Todd! Especially if I'm ever driving in Minnesota.

And I agree with Jebba; I really like your comments about your father-in-law.

Hey Todd! You've survived the Twin Cities, that's enough to turn any sane driver into a maniac...

Just remind me what part of town you live in, so that I avoid your routes to and from work if I'm ever back that way.

Thanks for the post!

Wow, Todd, I never would have guessed about the road rage. You seem like such a peaceful, easy going person.

What kind of Garmin do you have? Do you like it? I want one, not sure which one to get though.

Oh, and very smart with the slowing down bit.

I really envy you pre-dawn runners, Todd. I wish I could drag my ass out the door in the mornings - it's a great time of day, plus then you've got all day to look back on your run, and know that you've accomplished something.

Nice post - and don't worry about the road rage. It's not you, it's the idiot drivers around you, right?
