I'm really irritated at Carnival's latest announcement that although the U.S. Navy delivered spam to the stranded passengers, no one was actually given any spam.

There is nothing wrong with spam. I LOVE spam. For many years I've had to deal with "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policies when discreetly buying spam. While enduring those disapproving looks of cashiers I've had to say it was for the dog. And then I get a visit from the ASCPA shortly thereafter. I buy spam once or twice a month, slice it and fry it in the skillet to go along with cheese and macaroni or mashed potatoes. I've been waiting for the U.S. Courts to overturn discrimination against SPAM lovers for decades now. And what happens when a federal court decides spam lovers should be allowed to practice their freedom of expression? The Obama Administration goes to the U.S. Court of Appeals and Supreme Court to get "DADT" kept in place until the Congress decides whether or not spam lovers are second class citizens. Now with the new Congressional make up who in their right mind thinks they are going to let spam lovers sit at the same table as Ruth Chris Steakhouse patrons?

If I had been on the splendor I would have grabbed a couple of dozen of those cans of spam to take home and save on my budget. Do you realize a can of spam costs around $2.85 in the supermarket?! Wonder if I can write the Captain of the U.S.S. Reagan to forward a case or two of spam my way.

Hmmph! In an informal poll of my spam loving friends, 80% of us voted for Obama in 2008. Now, 80% of us are going to vote Republican in 2012 instead. Wonder how Huckabee and Romney feel about spam.
