Good morning all. I was going to post before heading out to run but saw no thread yet. So here I go.<br><br>

This is Ms. Olsen. Her mom and dad were good friends of mine who came down to visit at dinner a few weeks ago. The proud mom passed her around the table and took nice pictures of all of us holding her. OK I'm grabbing a cuppa joe and getting ready for work. I got to bed very late (1 a.m.)cuz I was STILL PACKING. Cripes. So even though I had that 4 hour nap yesterday, I'm <span style="text-decoration:underline;">very</span> tired. I may be investigating the Relaxation Suite at the Healthy Living Center over the noon hour. Maybe squeeze in a nap. I'm trying very hard to remain as healthy as I can for race day.<br><br>
DS is sick and will be staying home today. If I had enough PTO built up I might do the same. arg.<br><br>
I'm gonna be swamped at work so likely no posting from me today.<br><br>
I start my journey to Philly tonight! woo hoo!

The weather ain't been all that great these last few days. Forecast is still looking good for Sunday though. Still, I wish that it could have been for the most part bright and dry while I've been taking the week off. It's always a bit of miserable effect when you get a day like yesterday, starts out locked in fog and by about 4:30 with very little daylight left, the fog has only retreated into a low dull overcast. Owch!

Been awake since about 2:30am last night stressing about work issues, so at 5:00am decided to get ready and head into the office to tackle some tasks. Now I'm at the office and on this forum instead of doing the work which was keeping me up last night. Heh.<br><br>
The last couple of nights the movie Heartbreak Ridge with Clint Eastwood has been on TV. Toward the end of the movie, he has a classic line that I'm going to drop on the marketing director the next time we end up on opposite sides of an argument:<br><br>
"Frankly sir, you're beginning to bore the sh!t out of me."<br><br><b>Maples:</b> Ms. Olsen is one cute baby. If I were you, I'd carry that picture around with you in your wallet and let it "accidentally" fall-out around the right woman. However, I do have a photo of my nephew that my mom sent out that trumps that one. Then again, I am biased. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.kickrunners.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Wink"> He wore a dragon costume at Halloween and it is absolutely adorable. His birthday is Halloween, so he is going to have extra fun on that day for years to come. Ugh - I hate it when they do sh!t like that... or they close down 3 lanes of a 4 lane highway to do bridge work... right at a bottleneck... right before/during rush hour... seems just as dangerous for the workers as well as the drivers... I guess the DOT doesn't like paying time and a half to get the work done at 2AM.

I don't get to check in here much during the day, but I posted something last night that I would like to post again for those who may not have seen it. It is something I've been thinking a lot about the last couple days:<br><br>
So I was thinking today about this <b>upcoming Philly weekend</b>... It occurred to me today that I've been so preoccupied with getting ready to run the marathon that I forgot to think about what else this weekend is about. I live here, but for many of you this is a vacation of sorts... So, <b>for those of you travelling to Philly</b> -- safe trips to you. I hope you all really have a great (mini though it may be) little vacation. I'm super excited to meet you all. <b>For those of you we won't get to meet this weekend</b>, I'm looking forward to future gatherings where we will get a chance to meet.
