Rest day before Reach the Beach. This is by far one of my favorite events, and I'm excited! I'm happy to NOT be on an ultra team again this year ... it took so long to recover from last year. Gonna be living in a van for a few days with Arrojo & Vogel md (formerly from that other place) and my other Stupid Running Friends. Oh yeah it's gonna be fun!

That's awesome Jen! Hope you have a blast and recover fast. Good luck to you, Arrojo, and the rest of your crew.

Meet tonight, I'll try to get a report up when I get home if it's not too late.

7.2 or so miles from home to work. I know I'm slow these days, but to have the cops stop on a hill and ask if I wanted a lift was a bit much.

3.2 yesterday in 29:46, just a bit slower than my fastest on that route. And on my fastest I walked since it was before I figured out how to run the whole way. The weather was perfect. Let's hope today's 10 miles are equally pleasant.

First 1.5 miles pace was 9:20
Second 1.5 miles pace was 9:58

8 miles on the treadmill, 4 at tempo pace. Still not loving tempo but it is feeling like a bit less of a struggle.

I taught two yoga classes today, too.

Joined by a buddy for my 7 mile road loop, but halfway through I felt dizzy enough to walk for 5+ minutes. After getting my wits back, we continued running. I think dehydration was the culprit. No biggie, it was only an easy pace day.
