Good morning, TEAM LIT!

4 miles for me today.

Dead legged run, that is.

I was confused about it until I remembered that yesterday was the first time back in the pool in a month or more, and it happened to be a very kick-heavy workout. oy!

Then, was supposed to meet with Lisa @ the gym, but some sort of intestinal distress struck her (for once not me) so we're rescheduling.

Off to put on "grown up" clothes for my class today, then....

pick up my other bike and hopefully begin bike commuting - if not tomorrow, then next week.

Goal is at least 2 days a week.

Thor - I am tired just reading your morning run. Nice!

Niemsco - Great morning swim, wish I could do open water swims around here, break up the monotony of the pool.

Me:

AM - 3,000yd straight swim - 57:15 (1:54/100yd). A bit slower than I would have liked, in fact the first 1,000 was really slow. I did managed to pick up the pace and finished up the last 1,000yd at around 1:45/100yd pace.

PM - 75 minutes on the trainer in the basement following "Back to School Night" for my 2nd Grader.

Hurricane Earl potential impact - I am hoping that I will be able to get in the pool tomorrow morning, what with the hurricane coming up the East Coast. I am about 30 miles from the coast, but migh still see some rain and strong winds, just maybe not until the late-morning/early-afternoon. Hoping all you up in Massachusetts don't get hit too hard.

I have to agree with Thor on the humidity part of his run, wish I say I did the same type of workout. But no, cardio week continues as I did a 4+ run this morning from the Y this morning. One of the people I run with is on the board so we talked about maybe getting a dryer for the Y so that we could spin out soaking wet clothes before sticking thme in the gym bag in the back of the car. Still not nearly as bad as wet hockey gear. Don't think it will happen but helps past the time.

Good luck at the TT, Matt.

5mile run. So Humid. Legs were very heavy as expected. Heading up north for a long lake-side getaway this evening. It is supposed to be pretty cool over the next few days. It will be a nice running weather. I need to take some recovery days.

Yet another bike commute day. 17/19+/10+ for about 47.5 miles on the day.

Almost looking forward to the rain and howling winds tomorrow, to take a rest day ('tho I may swim in the morning - that would DEFINITELY be a change of pace).

Hopefully the weather doesn't knock anyone for a loop.

I'm in my last do whatever I want weeks. This afternoon I'm planning on running a loop near Lk. Washington. Or maybe I should go trail running. Choices, choices.

Yucky humid around here too so I opted for a treadmill run (and some baby free time with Eli in babysitting). 50-min tempo run. Was pleased to see a faster pace than my last TM run a month ago - around 8-min miles for the middle 25 minutes didn't feel like it was killing me. Love progress!

OMG...nothing compares to hockey stink!!! DH has played since we were in college, and the worst was when he lived with his two hockey playing friends in a teeny apartment...and they all stored their gear inside. AWFUL!!! Very thankful for garage storage these days.

4m run tonight with the Little Otters in the stroller. Realized it's 80 pounds of kid plus the stroller on the hills...this makes me stronger, right??? Great workouts today, everyone!!!
