6.5 mile run early this dark and cold morning with Andyman and the Diesel. 42 degrees at the start. Hands and big toe were cold throughout. I miss warm summer mornings already.

My first thought this morning at 4:15AM, "If I miss one swim workout it isn't going to be an issue come November 21st. I could just stay in bed and get another hour or two of sleep." I fought off the evil thoughts and made it to the pool to get in my swim workout.

I felt really good in the water today, kept a good pace for the entire main set, nothing slower than 1:57/100m (not as fast as some of you folks but good for me).

I have a lunchtime ride in store for me, 1:30 which will be mostly uphill for the first 1/3 or so, then I will be making up some time on the way back. It is a beautiful day out there, a great day to get out and ride...or run.

Bike commute day. Had to add the gloves to the tights and long-sleeve top. Brrr.... A couple more weeks and that's the end of the commuting season for me. 17 miles in; 17 at lunch; 10.8 home for 44+ on the day ... Lunch rides are nice this time of year tho ... picturesque and quite a bit quieter than summers at the beach.

chilly 5 miler this morning from the Y. One of the buddies was rocking the pants and knew she would be getting crap, which she did. Good easy run just to get the legs moving. reminded me to pack the gloves and hat for RTB, amoung other things that you forget about running all summer.

So far I've walked 2 miles around campus on various errands...it's hot out and I'm wearing wool and high heels! Dang.

If the shredded feet are up for it I'll be on the treadmill tonight; if they aren't then I guess I'll be doing a nice stretch/strength routine that doesn't require shoes.

Way to go, Alicia! Remember - baby steps. You fall down 7 times and get up 8 times. Keep going.

2300m in the pool. Working on the basics to figure out what is so out of whack about my swimming right now. Arms felt heavy from the weights workout last night. Patience, patience, I will get it back. A ride planned later if the weather clears up by then. Found out that the water temp up in the mountain in Utah is hovering around 57F. Yeah, COLD, freeeeezing COLD.

Good afternoon friends. I have a Zumba class on tap for this evening. It's rather comical as I'm the oldest one in class by 20+ years. Some woman said to me "I wish *my* mom would do this too". Sigh.

I did a bunch of one-legged squats yesterday and am paying for it with hip pain today (and last night).

Happy anniversary Yo Sake! DH and I will be celebrating our 6th anniversary in about 3 weeks. My first marriage lasted almost 23 years, then I was single for a bunch of years. I love being married - or maybe I should say that I love being married to my current DH! We met when he won a radio contest to have a date with me, LOL.

Monica...just be careful if you decide to try for a run tonight. Really, though, maybe not a good idea. (I know you don't want to hear that)

20 mile ride at lunch...I waited until it warmed up. But DANG head wind no matter which way I rode! (at least it felt like it).

Legs felt pretty good considering all the climbing I did on Saturday.

Oh and there was a time trial going on at the same time as our ride on Saturday - 18 miles up Crawford Notch, NH. http://www.nebikes.com/?PageName=22

2600 yds in the pool and a 20 mile ride tonight.

I think my bike is fixed!!! I'm sooooo happy! My friend, who used to own the closest LBS to me, but closed last spring, looked at it and fixed it. The rd cable was really loose, and the rd hanger was slightly off. I had no problems AT ALL this evening on my ride! I am so excited! Now I can save my money to put toward a tri bike, AND I can go get a really good bike fit on this bike before my HIM.
