Hola.

Time for me to get back on the running train. I skipped my usual Tuesday run for concerns about too much fatigue when the week after Philly I ran 22 and a half miles, and I've got a 10K coming up this weekend. I took that rest in spite of how tempting it was to go out, with just a few miles more needed to set a new monthly mileage record.

But you always need to remember not to let yourself get governed by the numbers. The numbers are a result of your decisions and in that view should always remain secondary to the needs of rest and staying healthy.

My legs feel really good this morning too. So maybe I made the right call there. Of course, maybe I'll go out this afternoon and have Run of Suck, but hey, that happens. It'll just feel good and right again to run. I felt weird without having the run on Tuesday.

Mornin', Scratch. Skipping a run or two at this point is probably not a bad idea. I was forced to miss Tuesday's run as well, and I'm not upset with that. I did run yesterday, and it put me over 1300 miles for the year. That's a nice milestone...

And in other news, I finally got my Philly race report/photo album online. Yeah, took long enough, eh? Anyway, it can be found here.

Today is a scheduled day off from running, so I may hit the gym. We shall see...

Have a great day, everyone...

Good morning again, fellas!

Got out late last night for a lousy excuse for a run. Nothing really felt like it was clicking. I know that just happens sometimes, but I was still less than thrilled. Still, I got my 3 in. Drew up a training plan for my next 1/2. I've got a few smaller races scheduled between now and then. Nice to have time to sleep and run now that I've switched assignments at work.

Can't wait to check out Bob's RR and pics! LOVED the front page report from Beaker!

Mornin
Dang it I am tired. I got day 2 of week 8 OHR in last night. It was a 36 minute run, so I increased the speed every 3 minutes. Not much talking going on in the later part of the run.

Tonight I will do something for exercise, not sure what yet. I need a new plan.....

Maples Woohooo you signed up for the race!!!

Moe I am jealous of your corporate gym.

Ran hills last night. The soup I'd had for supper jostled around in my belly and made me have wet burps. Ugh. But other than that, I felt really strong. Today my right shin is a bit sore, though. I really should stretch more.

I wrote a report on my Philly trip for my local running group's newsletter. It'll be in december's issue. I really wanted people to know how cool you all were and how much fun we had.

Love the front page story!

I bailed on my 4:30 am run, so now I'm off to the gym for 7. Sleepy Life certainly gets in the way of running...

Yeah, I had the same problem yesterday too. I hit the park on the way home from work to get in 6.75 before it got dark. I had gone out to lunch with two coworkers across the street at Pablos (our fav / close by[we can walk there from the office] mexican dump/watering hole) and I had eaten the lunch special that consisted of a chicken chimi and steak quasadilla. Needless to say, that was riding a little heavy in the old stomach!

I'm going to get out for 7 @ lunch today.
