Finally had a decent run today - on the treadmill no less. Decided to wear an Ipod and listen to some music while watching "The Tick".
It helped quite a bit - made my run easier.
3 miles in 34 minutes. No, I've never been very fast.

Good runs all.

Felt like staying out of the wind this morning, so did 2 miles on the indoor track at the rec center.

No exercise for me today - I had PT this morning. Tomorrow is my last PT appointment, but I'm off work so I'll be able to spend some quality gym time afterwards.

I won't have much to post until I go to the track tonight and see Coach. There is, however, something I'd like to get off my chest.

Man, oh, man. Lookit him go.

(I went looking for a dead banana smiley and found out that some people have made really, I mean - really disturbing animations out of the little guy. I'm suddenly almost disposed to feel kind of sorry for him.)

Good morning everyone!

Millbot slept in...what a slacker! The youth today just lack ambition.

Hi roch.

I'll be heading off to the club after work to do something, but it won't be talking on my cell phone while using the elliptical. I glare at those folks.

We started our 6 a.m. run this morning and as we finished the college XC/track team rolled in to get some miles. They looked like this: Looked like they needed this:

Hey Rosie!
Welcome Roch and A'tech

It's gonna be a wild day, Sally's already loaded her gun 2x
.
Major leak {springed, sprang, sprung} in the men's locker run due to some renovations in the Inn above.
I extended my XT from 20 to 40 min waiting on cleanup but ended up driving home sweaty in the end.
That was after 4.25 recvoery miles.
400m on grass barefoot. Millbot temps are in the 25-35* range. Yesterday's run was on a heavy frosty, today not so cold and drier. The earth is warmer than the air this time of year. It's all about slow adaptation I hope. I'm also hoping it will set my feet in order maybe once and for all. I can dream anyways. I'll try it for a coupla months as weather permits, may look into the Aquasocks.
Good running all,
Hi everyone!

Today is my oldest child's 17th birthday. He is looking like a man more and more each day. It just blows my mind!!

Well, I registered for Boston this morning. The first year I did it, in 2004, it was 85 degrees. Last year, my 2nd time, there was a monsoon the night before and talk about cancelling it ( although race day wasn't bad at all ). I figure the 3rd times the charm, right?

Hally, nice car. I love the color. Now be sure to throw a shiny new penny in the back seat for good luck! ( my mom was a very superstitious, Italian women )

Oh, 12 comfortable paced miles this morning. Now I'm off to Amazon.com for some holiday shopping!

Hey roch and anachrotech!
Sal, I think you want Guido the Hit-banana:

Congrats, gin -- both on your son's b-day and on registering for the biggie.

Just hit "run" on a computer program that looks like it's going to take all day, even at the rate of analyzing 5000 galaxies a minute. Not complaining; data is good. So is swimming; off to the pool now.

Maybe it's time for some banana bread or muffins or something, or maybe banana cream pie.
Hi, Roch!
Regular bike commute this morning. It was dark and wet and windy. Now it's sunny and gorgeous out there; can't wait to ride home fast so I can run slow. Checking in later.

Lynden - maybe you should try a few of these to loosen up your legs:

Sal - you, Storm and your family have been on my mind so much these last few days. In fact, you were about the first thing I thought of when I woke up. I know how much we love our two dogs and just can't imagine the gamut of emotions you all are feeling. Our son is an only child and his two dogs are basically his siblings. I know he'll be absolutely devastated when we do lose them. I know you are making hard decisions right now and it's so hard to see our pet family go through something like this. Just know you are in my thoughts.

Nice new ride Hally!! I never heard of the "penny" superstition before. But hey - why not!

It's nice to see some new yet familiar faces . . . errr, handles, here - Roch, Anach . . .

Happy Birthday to your son, Gin!

No run for me today, but will get in my planks and crunches this evening.

Last night, I was looking through a cookbook and found a recipe for apple, cranberry crisp. I have leftover cranberry relish I made from T'gvg. The relish I made was just cranberries, diced apples, cinnamon and brown sugar, which is basically the base for this crisp, so I'll just dice up some more apples and throw in more cinnamon and make up this crisp. It sounded so yummy. Also found a recipe for a beef-barley soup. That sounded like a good comfort food for the weekend also - and get some nice rustic type bread to go with it. I plan on making it mostly veggie-barley though, but will throw in enough beef to satisfy my meat eating husband. And I have a recipe for Cinnabon rolls, so feel like making those this weekend too. Guess I better make sure and do my long run on Saturday if I plan on eating all that this weekend!
