Chilly 8 miler this morning from the Y. Temp around 35 so I went with the long sleeves but held off on the long pants until it gets into the 20's or so. Appears most parts of town have their power back Plan to head back to the Y in a bit for TRX class.

Yoshi: Thx for the code. I wound up finding 20% off at RoadRunnerSports.com via coupon code plus stacking with their VIP membership. So I'm good.

4 mile tempo run early this morning. Felt pretty strong. Wore a pair of my favorite minimalist shoes, and I absolutely love the ride, and this time my body held good with them because of the short distance. I have a 10K race coming up and will likely use those.

14 miles this chilly a.m. with J and R. It was a good run. We did a 10 mile loop then refilled bottles and did a 4 mile loop. J and I did mile 14 at a 9:48 pace. I was thrilled. Only a few days left until taper. Yay!

Haven't been running for the past several weeks and the calves are very happy about it. Been hitting the trainer pretty hard, plus a few decent swims and several crappy ones. To be honest, the break from running has been nice. It was starting to feel like a chore, you know? I can feel myself starting to get excited to start again.

Basic daily run then off to work. Starting to feel a bit better. Not as cold today helped some too.

Cool/low 40s - Sunny and windy. Crawford/Puckett/Security/Kiva/Fontaine/Grinnell/Crawford/Upton/home. Short easy effort run. Bruised ribs still hurting, but the pain is subsiding and I was able to breathe better. Stretching afterward.

75-minute Moksha yoga class. They told me ahead of time that the room would be 100-degrees. I didn't think they were serious...they were. Walked out after class looking like a drowned rat. But, it feels good to be back in a yoga class!

Good to see some of you here we haven't seen for a while!

7.5miles run. I have finally started seeing my HR coming down and feeling less huffing & puffing - 3 weeks since I resumed running. As I suspected, it would take about the same amount of the time off running.

Then 1600m in the evening. Here again, getting more comfortabley in the water. :)
