Ran to the gym, upper body weights and some crunches then ran home. 2 * 3 miles. ~50F. The pocket of stench has returned.

Loopy - OK, we'll let you off for only running 8 miles rather than 10. Just this once though...

Morning...

Loopy - 12 tomorrow?

RA - 50 degrees? Wow. We've made into the 30's now. Guess summer's over.

Happy Vets day all. Will head out into the dark and chill in a bit. Somewhere between 23 and 26 minutes.

RA - Nice job, I think you need more animal control out there

Dan - have a good run

I got in yoga after work yesterday, might be able to get something in at the gym later depending on how things go.

Good morning, party people. Not sure if I'll run today or not. Monday I was recovering from the relay. Tuesday and yesterday I was down with a nasty stomach bug. Today I feel much better, except for a mild but persistent headache. I have a half marathon on Saturday. Bleah.

Hi, everybody.

loopy -- 8 today? The world's rotation slowed a bit.

RA -- Pocket of stench? Wow, miss a day on the boards, miss a lot. Nice run.

Dan -- That's awfully cold for your neck of the woods. Have a good one.

zrun -- Bet you're of the more flexible in yoga class, being Gumby, and all. Have a great gym session later.

jebba -- Feel better, jeb. Rest up before your race.

A little work this morning, then perhaps a swim. Then hitting the road for the long drive to my alma mater for grad school. Haven't been there in almost fifteen years. Going to be really weird.

Morning all

Rest day for me. I had thought about getting out for an easy 3 or so, just to warm up the new shoes, but work has put a stop to that, got forced to go in early tonight... Supposed to have a family outting for my Mom's B-day tonight too. I was hoping that this overtime crap was over with for the year.

Re- New Orleans 'thon. I just thought it would be fun. I wanted to do a 'guys only' trip down there for a few days. I have a friend from high school that lives in NOLA and says the race goes right by his house and said we could shack up and his place.

Wow I've been gone a long while. Running last week was successful, but not so much so far this week. Weather has been great too, I'm just not feeling it right now. I may end up sitting out indoor if this continues and trying to get in shape for some distance races outdoor, which would also balance out my eligibility left, 2 years in XC, indoor, and outdoor. I just need to figure out a way to get my shins to not be so dumb, and to get my motivation back. I think I just need to keep reading Once a Runner, that always seems to perk me up.

I hope all you have been having a great fall so far and enjoying life. Thanksgiving will be here before we know it!

Alex - Good to "see" you. Hang around here more and maybe you'll get that mojo back!

Kevin - Sounds like a plan. Nice running

BBS - Enjoy the rest. NO sounds like a great (and fun) plan. When is it?

Rob - Have a good swim. Be careful about that visit to your school. You might end up feeling like and elder!

Jebba - Doesn't sound like you 've been having much fun. Hope you're better soon.

zrun - You'll be some kind of loose by the time you start running again with all that yoga!

Ended up doing 27 just cause. Actually a perfect morning. The 38 felt good and even though my legs were tired it was a fun (did I say that?) run. I'm with Kevin. Planning on easy miles and slow increases till well into spring and then decide if I'll shoot for another marathon in Oct 2011. A good plan. Now if my body will continue to cooperate...

Off to Phoenix! Hoping for a short trot once I get to the hotel. Planning on taking lots of photos during 3-Day so I can write a proper report. Will not have net access until maybe Sunday evening.

Hi all, quick fly-by after nearly two days in a "leadership training" seminar. I'm wiped out.

But I will probably now go home and run a couple of miles anyway. With DW. At her pace. Which probably means a walk break or two. But it's OK, I'm still in marathon recovery mode. It will be nice just to clear my head after the past two days.

Later peeps...
