Definitely swimming this afternoon after work. I may or may not do my trainer workout tonight- totally depends on how the legs feel. If last night's run is any indication... I might want to rest them.

Cinco de Mayo finds me sounding as if I partied till 3 am in a smoke-filled bar,

dancing with wild abandon and possibly having beer spilled on me.

Rabbit vetoed me this morning from biking outside.

I'd already been downgraded from running today to gentle biking along side her while she ran again.

But, it was COLD this morning, and I really would have been toast.

So, I sat on the trainer for a medium spin while she ran a quick mile to get warmed up, then we did strength stuff at home.

I don't know that I'll look at pasta sauce the same way again after doing that many shoulder exercises with them today.

I am becoming close personal friends with my rescue inhaler these days.

SUX.

Tomorrow is dental work which will involve SEDATION.

Oh yeah.

My anxiety about this is high enough that I'm allowing someone to give me an IV.

So, nothing is happening with me tomorrow except sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepppppy time.

My butt is soooooooooo sore; it is not funny. I am not sure if the new MTB seat doesn't agree with my butt geometry or what. 30min MTB ride from the car dealership after dropping off my car early in the morning. Then 1hr on a singletrack which I have ridden only a few times in the past, with DH. I fell twice - I am aweful at handling unexpected features (a big log pile, a blind-spot twisty turn) - first falls on my new bike. Wake up call about how inexperienced I am on a trail.... Probably another 30min or so ride to pick up the car later. I may run instead. Or take a tri bike. I can't take the beating on my sitbones any more.

I have running gear in my desk but I think I'll be a sloth today. My butt's reminding me of the lack of saddle time in recent history. DT massage later this evening.

Balky right calf the past 2 or 3 days, but I took the stick to it last night and this morning it felt 99% better. Headed out for my lunchtime run and made it to the 1.5 mile turnaround, then the 2 mile turnaround, then the 2.5 mile mark before actually heading back feeling pretty decent. Last 1.5 miles it started to hurt again, though, and now is roughly the same as it was yesterday. Tomorrow is a rest day, though, and I will roll it again tonight.

Hopefully a trainer session this evening, too, although the calf is worrisome there. Plus we have middle school parent orientation (they should call it parent DISorientation) after work. So we'll see. Really need to get that bike mojo going.

Warm/low 60s - sunny and very windy. Crawford/Grinnell to Powers turnaround to Amherst/Watson/path/Upton/home. Short progression run. Last mile was about a minute faster than the first, but not a hard effort. Stretching afterward.

Someone finally found the emergency shut-off valve for the rain. I GOT TO RIDE OUTSIDE FOR A CHANGE!!! Unfortunately, I just found out my first oly tri has been cancelled. It was scheduled for next weekend. The water levels are 17 feet above normal and the TA is totally under water. I am bummed...

Hey everyone! I had my last key workout before the Rev3, and felt really tired and sleepy...didn't feel like doing it, so I was happy it went well.

A 1.5 hour brick (1 hr bike/0.5 hr run), and I ended up with 20.8 miles on the bike and 4 mile run @ 7:26 pace.

RON - Are you tapering at all for the REV3 or is it just another light training day for you? LOL!

Tacos with a grapefruit soda for lunch.

BRICK workout this evening. One hour on the trainer (due to scattered showers) FIB a 1.19mi run. Legs felt much better today than they did during last week's BRICK. I kept saying to them, "Thank you, legs! I love you, legs!" Not at all like last week when I was all like, "Shut up, legs!" Actually ran at 9:34/mi at the very high edge of HR zn 2.

Dog walk.

Pupusas, refried beans, & plantain with margaritas for dinner.
