But it is definitely a worthy report nonetheless. I blab here all the time and hardly have any running to mention.

Legs feel pretty good...I am definitely pumped for tonight and have my sights set high. Shooting for a PR and my first ever trip to state. WOOHOO!

Have a great day.

I am exhausted. I ran 10 "easy" miles with 8 strides at the end, but there was nothing easy about this workout. I was tired, it was hot and it was windy. I just didn't have the usual spring in my step and it made for a challenging run.

I hope that yours are better.

One nice note: I did hit 1000 miles for the year during this run.
good luck alex!!

i did a measly 30 minutes on the elliptical and a bunch of stretching/rolling afterwards.
I am getting excited for this weekend's race, except the forecast is calling for 88F no shade on this course either. It will be good conditioning for Badwater
I didn't get this fat lazy ass out of bed until 5:30 - Could do my workout, I was going to just do another easy run, but my DD#2 woke up just as I was about to leave - I could leave.

I ran 6 easy @ Lunch - I am trying to sneak out of hear by 4:00 to get a good run in before 6:30 church service (End of school year service)

Again - Alex - What ever happens - we are proud of you.
Good luck Alex! Hope you kick some butt!

Nice workouts folks.

A very warm night tonight. I took it easy as tonight called for 5 at recovery pace.

Legs are tired after the trail run last night.

Certainly was not ready for the heat tonight. Supposed to be hotter tomorrow and I have 11 trail miles. Not good.

Run Segments
After a relatively painless day yesterday (I had a bad case of tendonitis in the back of my left knee since the race), I decided to take a spin and see how they felt this morning. A relatively painless 2.75 in 30 and change, which brought me to a PB of 10:56 average mile.
Sunny 88F at 6:30p

Cycled 5mi to the trailhead, Ran 6 miles easy, and rode the 5mi home. The woods were a bit cooler, being in the shade. Picked up some groceries on the way home and ready to make dinner.
6.4 hilly miles in 1:02. Pace was more than easy but less than threshold. Legs started to go towards the end, and the "back" split was a minute slower than the "out."

Tomorrow is 6 miles with 4 at threshold.
Snuck out of work a little early - to the YMCA and time to crank - short on time before church

2 miles warmup @ 8.0 MPH
1 mile @ T - 10.0 mph
11 miles @ MP - 9.5 mph
1.1 mile @ T - 10.0 mph
.4 cool down - 8.0 mph

Total 15.5 miles - strong workout - not dead, but very tired after.

2.1 @ T + 11 MP = 13.1 in 1:21:54 - I am happy with that.

After about the 5th MP mile - I wanted to wuss out, but I thought of how hard Alex would be working - He is not posted in TH - I will look in FR
