Morning everyone

Recovery 7 on tap for today. I had planned on Splitting it up with 3 this morning and 4 at a group run tonight, but I have to go in early tonight. Luckily I tossed some gear in my truck last night just in case, so at least I can run somewhat of a fresher course today.

Dave - I think jumping out of an airplane results in some level of exercise...

Dan - hope you can get back at it soon

BBS - enjoy the easy 7

I got out for a recovery 5'er on the horse trail this morning. Low 50s and humid. Yesterday I ended up with a double. I forced myself to run 5 miles on the TM in the afternoon. I then managed to get to track. The workout was 12*400. Splits as follows:

1:31, 1:24, 1:24, 1:23, 1:16, 1:21

1:24, 1:22, 1:22, 1:22, 1:24, 1:20

By not paying attention I thought it was 3 sets of 4*400, with a 400 recovery between sets. So, I trotted off after 4 only to discover my group heading out because it was 2 * 6*400. So, I hammered the 5th interval (relative as I'm not very fast) with Group 2 and then rejoined Group 1 for the rest. My legs were trashed after that... Not as even as my usual efforts but I haven't been on the track for a while. Anyway, hopefully this pulls me out of the funk I've been in this week.

Had trouble finding my mojo this morning. Legs not fresh and it's cold and damp out. Plus, since I run by two schools, timing in the morning is a huge issue. Kept it easy this morning since I think I'm going to "race" this weekend. Short 4 route. Road is still torn up so first/last half mile are "trail". Felt okay. 3.75m, 8:50pace. Took the hound for a short CD walk, stopping at every friggen tree so he could wizzle. Oh, and the new newspaper bags are too small to effectively be used as poop bags. Good thing he's only 20lbs.

BBS--good luck getting the run in.

Dan--be safe and ice the knee!

David--jumping out of a perfectly good airplane makes NO sense at all!!!

Asics--gotta love those counting issues.

Good morning everyone. Nice job on all the workouts this morning and last night.

Dave- Have fun jumping out of the airplane.

Today is the 3rd day in a row it has rained hard. Tuesday had some snow and then lots of rain. I am sure we have had over 1.5 inches of rain this week. So as it is raining cats and dogs I ended up going to the gym and getting in 5 miles on the TM.

Totals 5 miles 43:38. Now I am all tired. Have a great morning everyone.

Hi all,

We're still in a rainy pattern here too and look to be for one more day. I packed for a run outside anyway, though I could take it inside to the gym if I absolutely had to. Either way I need to get it in during the day because I've got a work related function in the evening.

I'm thinking 7 at least, maybe if things are quiet around the office I can stretch it to a little more during my lunch "hour." Easy pace after hitting the track last night.

BBS - enjoy the 7

Dave - I know jumping out the side of a plane would get my HR up

RA - nice track splits there, pretty similar to mine last night except for your crazy fast 76 400

4bm - good job on the almost-4

kevin - that's some crazy spring weather you have had. Nice 5er.

Dan - hope that knee is ready for you tomorrow

Nice job everybody,

After monday and tuesday off, I rejoined my wednesday morning pards for 6.6 trail miles that felt surprisingly good. Then took the kids to the track workout expecting to do a couple of super easy warmup laps with both and then watch son1, but my wife came by and picked up son2 after the warmup and I got sucked into running the 3 x 1 mile workout at around 7:15, 7:15 then with son1 in about 8:00 for the last. Son1 was around 8:00 for all of them, a bit rusty after the week off last week. Busy at work and staying late, hopefully I can sneak in some strength stuff in at some point.

BBS - Hope your 7 is lucky

Dan - Sorry about the knee, keep feeling better

Dave - Do you log the miles you spend falling :)

RA - Nice work at the track, hope that gives you your jump start

4boys - Way to tough it out on the 'roads'

kevin - nice 5, you are sure due for some nice weather

Hawk - good luck on the 7 and great intervals yesterday

Finally got out late afternoon for a ho-hum 7 miler near the office. Overcast and humid outside and my legs were pretty dead from the track last night. I didn't worry about pace, just casually trotted along, working mainly on my breathing and my form. So I was pretty surprised to see at the end that I managed an 8:05/mile average, and even dipped into the 7:50s for a couple miles.
