Hopefully we don't have quite so interesting adventures tonight. Keep up the good work peeps!

Well the walk is going on today at the end of the day, so hopefully after like an hour+ of running I still have energy for the meet tonight. Running 1600/3200 but if I feel real good I may scratch out of the 1600 and try to race the 3200 since one of the runners faster than me in Regionals is there.

Have a great day!

I am in total mental anguish - Like I am always in during taper - I just want to run ... run the the wind ... and keep running ... until I can run no more.

Instead I ran a lousy 6 miles with 3x.75 mile @ T-pace

Poor Flounder only got to run 6 miles. For a lot of runners, that is considered a "long run." I ran 8 easy miles this morning around a nearby park. The weather was nice and I enjoyed the workout while listening to Tales from Topographic Oceans on my MP3 player.

I am going through withdrawl big time - I just want to run a 20+ miler ... Almost worse than giving up cigarettes ... must ... resist.

Sunday I figure I will run 28 in the morning and 5 or 6 in the afternoon - That should make me feel better.

A measly 5.3 mile recovery jog, but it was 5.3 more than I planned. Was trying to shake off the strange soreness from last night's Bikram Yoga session, which basically confirmed my belief that a man can live a rich, full life without doing Bikram Yoga.

Usually 10 minutes, but this is a marathon I am pacing, So I plan on getting a tad more before - Its not an all out effort, so the glycogen should hold out just fine.

An easy 3.27 miles in 37:47. A first time outdoors in awhile. I ended up walking a rather large, rather long hill.

Today is mr jebba's birthday, so I don't think I'll be doing any more workouts today.

5 easy at lunch - Man it was great out there - sunny and @ 63F

Lofcaudio - 3:10 pace team for Green Bay - The pacers are organized by my local running club out of Appleton (30 miles south of Green Bay)

1st time pacing - so I received some advice from PacerChris and I am taking the responsibility very seriously. I know I have at least 1 person - I hope for 6-10, but I'll find out Sunday morning.

7:15 pace is a little ackward for me as its a bit of a tweener - so I've been practicing a lot so I can get the 1st mile between 7:15-7:30 - I do not want to fry anyones legs.

It looks like nice temps - but a bit windy - but I can block a lot of wind for the group @ 6'2 and 205#.

Yikes. I totally understand. My marathon pace is 7:25 and my usual easy pace is 8:15-8:40. But anything between 7:25-8:15 feels like NO MAN'S LAND and is difficult to find any sort of pacing rhythm in there. I'll be interested to hear how it goes for you.

If you do well at pacing for a 3:10, perhaps you can pace me to a PR in Boston next year.

2.75 miles in 30 minutes. Really surprised how I added an entire quarter mile to my distance. I'm just starting the One Hour Runner program (in week 2 now).

Well that walk absolutely pooped me but I raised like $70 I think. I ended up running for 1:06:10...15 laps and at 0.64 miles a lap, that's 9.6 miles...at a 6:53 pace. I started a bit fast but from the start to the end, my pace per lap went down about 20 seconds.
Well I knew I wasn't going to have the super meet I was hoping for, I was just fatigued. Went out way too fast the first lap, and then relaxed too much on the second. 1:16, 1:24, 1:23, 1:22 (5:26), 1:21, 1:22, 1:22, 1:18 (5:24). The opponent absolutely crushed me, by about 200m I'd say...I really hope he sticks with his plan of not running the 3200m at Regionals though. I also really hope that with a fresh set of legs on Monday that I'll be down in the 10:30s again. Oh ya...total time 10:50 for 2nd place...I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm disappointed with my time, even though I am almost certain it was from the hard miles earlier that day that slowed me down. I wouldn't say I'm depressed, but it definitely dampered my view of Regionals I have going on in my head, even though I know I shouldn't let it...I just want to not feel so tired.

Alex, I'm sure if you don't run 9.6 miles at a 6:53 pace on the same day as Regionals you'll do very well indeed. You've been making great progess and will continue to do so, I am sure.

Nice progress, Amyethyst!

I did 1 hour on trails. Beautiful evening.

I had one spectacular tumble, and I do mean tumble. I caught my foot on a root (hard to see in the dappled sunlight on the trail), and managed to tuck my shoulder and do a lovely controlled roll. I never could manage to do that way back in gym class! Wish I could have seen it from the outside. Only problem was that I busted open the scab on my knee again!
