Legs were pretty dead from yesterday's run but I still managed to roll out of bed for a final run with the peeps. 7 miles in about 57 min. Heading north again this morning, back to the treadmill and exercise bike.

Have a great day everyone!

3 miles as 5 min on 1 min off.

Nice chilly morning foreshadowing what looks to be a gorgeous rest of the day.

Somehow, the other night, I managed to tweak my knee in my sleep, so today was a bit of a test.

I took yesterday off of swimming, so as not to bother it with kicking.....and while it was a little "there" this morning, I was able to put full weight and stride on it this morning. There was one time when it balked a bit, so I just gave myself a little extra walking, and then was fine.

A little ice after the run, and I'm rarin' to go for the rest of the day.

Off to shower, change and get to work for a fun-filled day of meetings with the goal of saving the world of Auburn University!

*52 minutes of sub-6 minute pace running, and getting more comfortable at that pace. Still hard for these durations. But good marathon running economy.

Great day!

very cold run this morning when going into the wind. ended up doing just under 5. Saw Thor beating up one of the treadmills but did not bother him as he was very focused. Hit the pool for 700 yards, should be around 1500 yards just in time for vacation ;-)

This work thing is really cutting into my training time...how dare it! Anyway, I was just saying to BD last night that I could probably eke out a few longer workouts during the day. That sentiment lasted, oh about 12 hours. Things got really crazy this morning when my matrix mgr announced that one of his guys had a baby last night so will be out the next couple of weeks. He left a coverage plan and it seems that my name is all over it despite the guy NEVER talking to me about his projects.

In any case, I've had to shift my 11 miler to tomorrow morning and today becomes my DOR. *sigh*

HE didn't have the baby so what does he need two weeks off for? Slacker.

One hour on the trainer and a strength workout.

Skipped taking the meclizine/antihistamine last night. Feeling the best I've felt in a week-and-a-half. Gonna try a 45-60 min run tomorrow...then think about the possibility of showing up at Stu's 30K on Sunday...

Sparty - be careful...I'm convinced Jillian Michaels tries to kill me with her workouts. :)

4m run pushing one little otter...the other stayed home with DH. The "park where we see strange things while running" didn't fail me...standing in the middle of the grass was a man playing an accordion. Odd.

LOL...I believe it's Jillian Michaels' fault that Mrs. MBannon was laid up for most of last year with a stress fx...something about jumping around the living room at 5 AM....

X - great run! When/which one is your marathon?

stitch - what were you dreaming about in your sleep?

hobey - those mid-week med. long run are challenging to squeeze in. Any unplanned/unexpected meeting/calls, oppotunities are gone. Good luck tomorrow (early morning, uh?)

jen - accordion.... haven't seen that instrument for ages. Hope he was good at it at least.

MP run day. 11miles including 9miles at MP (8:20). I had to push the starting time to after work due to life, in 20's and windy. And of course, what else, tired legs. I was barely hitting 8:20-25 for the first few miles. Then slowly but surely I came back to life, as I have during the key runs of late, and ran well, with solid negative split. The first 5miles at 8:13ave. and the last 4miles at 7:55 ave. Solid effort with relatively low HR/not much hard breathing (but pushing heavy legs).

Strictly focusing on my marathon pace now. I did 5 good sets of hills last night. Good solid workout then, cause when I came home, was starting to fall asleep in my chair a little before by normal bedtime.
