Your body is starting to object? Mikey, you're a running machine.

Mine started objecting a few months ago.

First run of the day was 6.25 recovery with 6x100 m strides. I'll run another 4 or so later and report back. 9:30 average. Wind. Hills.

This morning was a 4-mile recovery run in 64?F temperature with 84% humidity and a pretty stiff wind out of the south. I am hoping that the weather is a bit more accomodating in my marathon in three weeks. Tomorrow morning is my last big run before the taper. I hope I survive.

5 mile slug on the TM. Totally did not want to do anything. My body thinks taper= complete hibernation, but i am trying to combat that.

Flounder- i am surprised your body has not spoken up sooner. You run insane mileage.

Everyone here running a 100 mile race - Raise their hands ... Anyone ... Anyone oh yes - Meri

I feel in good company

My friends know not to challenge me to any competition that involves little skill - Just an abundance of pigheadiness

My personality and body was made for Ultras, but I continue to resist their black hole like gravitational pull - some day I will cross over to the dark side with Meri. ccasion5:

flounder on a good run!
I only run no more than 70mpw at peak! I still think you are crazy. My body could never handle that mileage. I also would have to quit my job to find the time for all those miles, lol

Yes, dg1, I have run into the headwind the entire way on an out and back run

that's peak for me, usually 60-ish plus tons of x-training

Again my run pales in comparison to the rest of you!
6 miles on the TM. It was pouring this morning. I haven't run on the TM in a few weeks, so my run felt like it took forever! And I was moving along at a pretty good clip too. Anyway, followed up with some stretching and ab work.

Taught pilates and yoga classes this morning, that felt good.

This afternoon I swam 1000 m, mostly freestyle and some kick.

Swimming makes me ravenous in a way running never does! Not even long runs. It's so weird.

meri, I felt like that during taper too.

Everyone, run a mile or two for me, k?

Last year I had some success averaging 120 per week for the training cycle of fall marathon. I would probably make faster progress @ 90-100 MPW, but I am an addict.

My big bonus - I get 1 hour lunch and can run 5-6 miles + I chose to live 3 miles from work (No Commute)

that makes more sense. I cannot run after or during work. Very limited on time

4.2 mile second run. Supposed to be recovery, slightly faster than that. 38:12.
