First, Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

13 mile run this morning. Sucked big time and I just didn't have it today. Was wiped out by mile 7 and just hung on for the last 6. Was supposed to hold a 7:34 pace and just barely missed at 7:37. Total time was 1:39:05. Off to work now. Have a great day!

I got my a$$ handed to me this morning, but not in a drag-you-down and make you feel like shit kind of way.

More like, "hot damm that hurt but felt good at the same time!"

Yoshiko is in town for business so she met Rabbit and me down town and we gave her a tour of campus, in the dark (darn DST).

Luckily Rabbit is faster, so after about the first mile/mile and a half, I just hung on and would catch up on the downhills and enjoy the walk breaks.

Then, went to meet with Lisa. Rabbit came too and between the two of them there was no negotiating, very little slacking, and a good deal of taunting/challenging/and mocking going on.

I already feel my glutes!

It's gonna be ugly later today.

Over all, the run was 3.25 miles on a 5 on/ 1 off routine. We managed an 11:00 pace including walking.......yay!

Another sloggish run ... Somewhere between 4.25 and 4.5 .... cut it short and walked it home to finish the 5 ... Pace was 8:50-9:00ish ... Pity, 'cos it was a glorious run day and should have had a spring in my step.

I think I need to start posting in the "weekly workout" thread instead of the "daily workout" thread. Maybe I'll actually get my fattening butt on the bike this evening. I think my leg is probably ready to start running again, too - maybe tomorrow.

On the plus side, business is good. Money is still tight, but getting better each billing cycle. Not long now before we're rich beyond our wildest dreams, I'm sure of it!

Still tired from yesterday - never got around to posting, but did 8 miles pushing the kiddos (had to pick up something at their school, which is exactly 4 miles from home). Then, packed them up and we went to Disneyland for the afternoon, so continued pushing them around. LOL!

Have an easy 4-miler on tap for this afternoon...

a short run/walk, the peroneal/achillies issue is still bothering me, it's definitely better, but I probably need to let it rest more Anyone got any miracle cures?

Stitcher- cool that you & Yosh got to meet & run in real life!

Bannon- very soon I'm going to be rich beyond my wildest dreams too! (if you say something enough it will happen, right?)

35m 58s - 4.15 miles - 08m 40s/Mi

2:10 PM

Equipment: Brooks Ghost 3

Warm/mid 60s - sunny and very strong wind, 25-30 w/gusts of 40+. Crawford/Puckett/Security/Kiva/Fontaine/Grinnell/Crawford/Upton/home. Short fast finish run. Wind was brutal. Stretching afterward.

I did get registered for the Pikes Peak Ascent. Now I just have to wait for confirmation, which should be automatic as I qualified at the race last year.

I was checking the results from the St. Patty's 5K we did last Saturday, and Vicki was moved up to third in AG. I picked up her award today - a nice beer glass which we'll use later tonight. :)

2 hr spin @ 200watts, could not get HR up to Z3 to save my friggin life. Barely Z2. Clearly, I'm tired. @ 200watts it should be higher.

FIB 1hr run, held a sub 12 pace, similar HR issues but not so extreme. By 50min in body got back to normal. 5 miles.

It was SO nice. Was SO tempted to go outside but my helmet is in LasVegas so I'd have my Aero helmet + My cyclocross bike which has (1) knubby tire and (1) crappy ass trainer tire. Decided it wasn't worth it.

G-ddamn It was nice out. 60something
