Morning all

Dave-

Hawk- I always do a w/u mile before tempo runs or speedwork

Yesterday's 5 was great. However, I think its allready time for a new pair of shoes... I think I'mma go with something a little heavier this time, may be the reason my knees have been kinda achey.

I have speedwork planned for today. 5x 1ks. This will kinda be a ime trial as to what I can expect at the race in a couple of weeks.

BBS - hope the k repeats go well

Dave - Happy Birthday!

I got in a tired 6 miles around the neighborhood before PT this morning, which consisted of a combo ultrasound/electro-stim around the hip/hamstring followed by some massage and some strength work. Thankfully no scraping with the tools today. I might jump into a 5k Saturday if I'm feeling good, we'll see.

Have a good one, all.

Morning boys

I haven't run yet but the plan is go 6 with the middle 2 at a quick tempo later today. Hopefully I can get it in -- busy schedule today.

BBS - good luck on the 5k in pieces.

Zrun - nice job on the morning 6. Love summer with all the 5k races - so many you pretty much can decide last minute which ones to run. If you don't do this weekend's, hey no problem, there's one somewhere nearby next week.

Enjoy the birthday, Dave. You're probably celebrating with a long ride right now.

Happy Birthday to our resident IM Dave Boyer!

BBS -- Hope your test exceeds expectations.

zrun -- Sounds like you're doing ASTYM therapy, yes? Getting results?

Hawk -- Have a great six. What's tempo pace these days?

Me -- Was down and back to the Bay Area yesterday. Two car trips, plane and subway rides. One deposition. Swam a bit last night. Gonna go run for an hour before I do the 90-minute drive to court in Idaho's beautiful Long Valley. Whew!

Happy Birthday Dave!

Chances - busy busy! Glad that you can squeeze in your workouts.

Hawk - hope you get/got your tempo in. 5:40s, right?

zrun - nice job on the run/PT double. I've decided that I hate 5ks. However; I'll keep doing them until I get it right.

BBS - more speedwork? You'll be running a 16min 5k soon. Have fun shoe shopping. Maybe go barefoot - that cures everything.

My double didn't happen yesterday. No TM run during the day as my legs felt sore then I got home and decided that spending time with DD was a better idea than going to track. No harm, not foul. Probably needed the off day. Anyway, DW was out swimming in the lake this morning so I ran at work later in the morning. 7.25 miles on the TM.

That's the scraping, all right. So far, so good, hoping I can stay healthy while gradually adding speedwork back. Unless something comes up, I get a break from traveling a few weeks anyway. Enjoy the tri-training!

Hawk - good luck with the 6

RA - you've got your priorties straight, nice job on the TM.

Early morning run for me. Same route as yesterday. Never looked at the garmin for data. Meh. Whatever. Showered then took son1 and his bike to the shop. The bottom bracket went bad--something about being full of water??? From there to the running store where I got a (very painful!!!) massage. Son1 went next door for a haircut. Back to the bike shop to pick up the bike then a quick errand on the way home. Dropped off son1 and his bike, picked up son2 and his guitar and off to his lesson. Normally I sit at the park and do a bible study. Today, I fell asleep! And the day isn't done yet.

4BM- I think I am wanting to do that same as you. The nap sounds nice right about now.

I did 6 miles this morning and being that I usually run in 50* weather the 70*+ this morning made it feel hot. Now it is near 90. Now I am just tired.
