Good morning Kevin...enjoy the rest day. Watching Tour de France by any chance?

Tough morning run for me. 7.6 miles felt more like 27.6 thanks to a poor night of sleep and really high humidity. My original plan was to do this as a progression run but I decided after a mile that would be a bad idea. So I plodded along just determined to git r done. Which thankfully, I did.

Now off to work. Happy running all...

Its getting really hard to manage hydration and electrolyte balance. I feel like I am spending all non-running time getting my body ready ro be able to run again. I think I will run on TM @ lunch.

Boy miss a couple of days and the whole world changes. Nice format guys!

No runs the last few days. Feel like crap. Will get blood report today but doc is shaking her head. Thought she felt a little nodule on my thyroid so getting an ultrasound today.

Hope the heat let's up for ya'll AND the humidity. It's warm enough here and sleep stinks but it's nothing like you guys are getting I'm sure.

Good morning! I spent the last few days at the beach which was THE place to be with the triple digit temps. I ran once while there then took a day off since I did so much walking and playing in the surf. Those were enough of a workout for me. Back at it today though. 7 miles this morning with 3 mi pacing a friend on her tempo run. She did great with a 7:50 avg tempo, can't wait to see how she does in her half marathon this fall. My training picks up very soon. Can't wait.

Fishbowl for me this morning. Just an easy steady 2000m. The ironic thing--since I've given up "speed drills" I've gotten MUCH faster. Go figure....

In just a bit I leave for Bloomington to pick up son1. There is a celebration/welcome home dinner for deCycles this evening. I can't wait! A mom couldn't ask for a better birthday gift.

I like the look of the new site! It took me a while to get logged in though for some reason but I am in now.

35+ miles this morning on the bike. A good ride overall. Way slow on the outbound leg as I was riding with some co-workers. Once we got to the turn around I let them head back and I waited 10 minutes before I start back. I still caught them pretty quickly. 67 minutes outbound and 52 minutes inbound.

Brick Day for me.

9.22 mile bike ride out to the soccer fields, 4 mile barefoot run around the fields, 11.55 mile bike ride home. Then I spent 15 minutes doing 200 push ups.

I found a pair of shin guards at the soccer fields today. I was even able to attach them to my bike and bring them home. So now I will have a spare in my coaches bag in case one of the boys, or girls, forgets theirs. Which has happened.

FTR, I am still getting used to the new format.

Rest day after a horrid 15 miler yesterday where I managed to loose both gels before I hit 5 miles. Needless to say, I was not feeling too great in the last few miles. It just seems much hotter than the temps suggest. Combo of sun and humidity is just killing me.

Happy birthday 4boysmom. I'll put in a pre-emptive plug for my 40th b-day on Bastille Day, which is ironic being a Brit...

Happy birthday, mom!

Flyby. Six at some point today, after my own horrid 15-miler yesterday, in solidarity with RA. Just ran out of salt in the 88-degree temps. Had to walk it in. DW was worried.

Hopefully my 15 miler tomorrow goes ok. I am preparing for the heat and humidity. We are well in the 100s right now and tomorrow is suppose to be the same so we will see what the temps and humidity is in the morning.

Perhaps I should go 15 tomorrow to show the little boys how to do it. Quite exhausted after my last two days. I'm just glad to have a job though, so I'll quit whining. Barely even a run today....23min barefoot. I think I'll do a long double tomorrow, hopefully 10+ in the morning and then 30-40mins at night. This weekend is River Falls' town celebration, so I get to see a bunch of teammates and hang out. It's a summer thing..

Have a good night everyone.
