Good morning everyone! Still very hot & humid here in NY. Today I have an early morning PT appt and then a long day at work. So how does everyone like the new KR format? I need to play with it a little and figure out how to find my favorite bits and pieces.

Good morning Susan!

I kinda like the new format. It's a bit pale but the features are nice especially being able to use Tables. I'm not crazy about all the "Review" garbage on the right hand side. I don't see any Customization anywhere. Maybe they'll enable that after using it for a bit.

I ran 8 miles this morning with miles 5, 6, and 7 at Tempo pace (7:47, 7:49, and 7:40). This one was a real sweatfest and it took me a good hour and a shower to get cooled down enough to put on work clothes. But I'm Happy with this one! Much work needs to be done but this is a good start.

Good morning Susan & Bill,

10.16 MOH @ 9:00 pace and for the record...I like the new look. The only drawback that I can see so far is that we lost a lot of smileys.

Hi Susan, Peter and Brrrrgr1

30 min elliptical

We are getting some rain but I don't know if it's going to be enough to help the dry lawns and flowers/veggies.

I hope we can get some skin options, this is way pale and in my opinion hard to see. But the stability of the other host was a problem so let's hope this solves that.

Morning, Susan, Byll & Peter!! and Hally!

Still now totally sure if I like the new look or not. Maybe it's my settings, but I have to scroll way down to see the first post on the thread. Like Peter, I think I'll be missing all those smilies. And we can only see the 10 previous posts on a reply.

Oddly, our company just redecorated the cafeteria in the same colour scheme, and the comments here are that it looks pretty cool..... which is OK considering our current heat wave! Kind of like shopping for food when you're hungry!! We'll see how we still like it in February! On the plus side, I see my signature line is back.

No run for me today. Will go to the gym after later for some work on my badly neglected core.

Have a great day everyone!

Ok, so I'm calendarly challenged.

Good news on the injury front. This morning everything felt normal and I was walking fine, so I got on the elliptical for a hard 40' session. And then I did a progression run on the TM for 2 miles, finishing the last 1/4 mile at 7:30 pace. All systems seemed fine. Tomorrow I think I'll just go out and decide how far to go when I get there.

Nice runs yesterday folks. Keep it going.

We got to embrace the new things in life....they keep us young.......so instead of complaining about this change I am going to embrace it.

7 miles this early morning. Like Peter I ate hills for breakfast this morning. This was a progressive run, each mile getting faster and hillier...

Morning all!

This morning I went outside for a run - shocking I know for a weekday!! So I did 3.1 miles on the neighborhood hilly loop above my house. (this is a different way then the tackle the hills goal).. Mostly running, a little walking on the steep parts - no walking first mile, a little the second, a little more on the 3rd.. I tell you those hills wear you out! lol

I had fun especially since this is the area I used to TRY and run before my gallbladder surgery, and now it is SO much easier. So that's exciting to see.

Critter report: saw a deer, skunk, and a jackrabbit but thankfully no cougars, coyotes, or bears.. so looks like I'll be running outside before work for a couple months. COOL!

I feel like I've moved into a new house. Everything is nicer and more modern, but I don't know where the light switches are. And the white painted rooms need some color. After a bit of decorating, I'm sure I'm going to love the new house.

Speed Thursday: Last week I did fartleks, today I think I'll dabble in a few 800m intervals.

Hello all

Nice runs Breger Peter Posi Mike

WTG Linda on the outside run I've seen all those animals around here, fortunately the bears only twice & cougar once, although I've smelled 'em a few times.

I know as an old guy I'm a little resistant to change. I try to look at it with Posi's attitude of change keeping us young and all. But I'm not so sure I like this. The colors remind me of a hospital or maybe it was rehab....not sure. At any rate, I ponied up a small donation some time ago to be something known as a site sponser which was supposed to provide some special bennies. Don't see that anymore either. I did figure out how to get rid of the annoying advertisements by clicking on my name and editing some stuff in there. Didn't get rid of the review stuff though.

5.3 easy peasy miles in the woods, running for the 5th day in a row and 7th time in the last 7 days. 0715, 75°F (24°C ...why do we still use these stupid numbers in the US that don't make any sense) calm, kind of humid (for a southern california born boy)

Peace Out

Hi all!

Today's workout the same as yesterday's: 40 min swim + 20 min spin (penance for running around the Butte on Tuesday).

At least it wasn't that Kalinka video again....

Hey everyone. I tried a little running today, just to see how the hamstring would feel. Ran 2.35 miles to the bagel store, bought a six whole wheat, six cinnamon-raisin, one sesame (they were out of pumpernickel, rats!), then walked home. Stopped at the bank on the way back too. As usual, the walking hurt my pelvis/sacrum more than the running did. I really wish I knew what it is about walking that bothers me more than any other activity, even when I don't run at all. I did notice that I'd had no such pain the past three days that I've only been riding the stationary bike. hmmm...

Hopefully the learning curve in this place will be short, and we won't feel like features have been taken away with this switch. Me, I'm just happy to have a run to post.

Enjoy the gift, all.

Wow! Look at all of these cool new features! I don't like the dull color scheme, but the rest seems to be nice. And Holly visited so it must be good!!

7mi cycle to work as my car's electrical system failed completely in the garage, then worked after a neighbor provided a jump start, then half-worked, then failed on the side of the road, then worked just when the tow truck arrived, then worked at the repair shop, then...
