Good morning everyone!

On the treadmill again this morning. 2 mi WU, then 8 x 0.5 mi intervals with <2 min recovery. For the interval portion I had the TM set at 10.5 mph (5:42 min/mi), for the recovery it was 7.5 mph (8 min/mi). Did a longish CD to make it an even 11 mi for the day. Heart rate stayed mostly in z4 for the intervals, although it creeped up to z5 at the end of the last couple of ones.

Flying to Anchorage today for meetings and training. I'll get some x-country skiing in while I'm there, which will be nice since I have my first ever race in about a month.

Have a great day folks!

5 mile sick-ass hill run. Decided to run up the famous Terwilliger Hill. Wasn't bad. It was running up Hamilton to get TO Terwilliger that was tough. Holy hell that was steep! 2.5 miles pretty much continuously up, turn around, and down. 40 minutes.

Should swim later. Kinda fell off the swim bandwagon this week.

Why not? If I lived closer, I'd run that hill a lot. I drove into town to run it often while training for Alcatraz.

BrewDad's Sunday crew runs Hamilton/Terwilliger all the time. Yeah...they're nuts.

Climbing out of my multisport black hole.....ran 10 minutes on the treadmill last night very slow felt ok PF no better no worse. I am completely out of shape, haven't consistently exercised for 1 year due to the foot but I am now going to ignore it and train through the pain...slowly. My goal is a 5k in early Spring and a sprint tri in mid to late Summer and lose some of the weight (? pounds) I have gained by being a couch potato. I will try to post my weak ass workouts for accountability.

Eric - great to start seeing your workout posts again.

RS - are you sure - as a doc. would you recommend to your patients to just run through the PF pain? Sorry, I just had to throw that at you. Wish you could fix it... Good for you, though, to get back to physical activities!

And Don!! Great to see you post here!

Sh!ttiest day of the year at work. I was near Mike (xlb..)'s neck of the woods, I think, am still at the Springfield airport. Flying through Chicago (let's see how that goes this time) and I won't get home until 1am or something. Easy 6 miles on fresh snow in South of Indy this morning. I would take that any day over frozen, slippery icy, snowy messy sidewalk back home. I had to swtich scheduled 9miles (7 at MP) and easy 6 due to this trip. Frequent biz trips and not owning a distance device bite.

Last night was 1600m swim.

A huge sigh......

8+ mile run (in the sun) with some progressive tempo during the second half. Stayed off the super busy roads so that I could stay off of the sloppy side walks.
