Pro - only 3.1 miles for March? Aren't you doing Boston? Or did I miss something . . . Hope you're not injured.

Hi Pink!

Weeeeeell, I guess the theory is that I'm not injured. But it's gonna be a while getting mileage back up. For the record, I had an ab strain in Jan. I kept testing it and it would not get better. So I finally quit entirely until today. And oh yeah, recently my back has been hurting. I went to the Dr. and all is (supposedly) well. But I am gonna see a PT to assure I don't get any other re-entry injuries and do something better in the core strength dept. It'll be a slow ramp, but I'll race you in Hartford.

:30 EZPZ shuffle with Hamish this morning.

I played leapfrog with the newspaper man, a remarkable specimen who insists on driving his car down the street a few houses at a time, hopping out, delivering a paper or two, and moving on. I don't know where he's getting his exercise to stay so buff, but it ain't on this job.

So, it came to pass that we crossed paths for the bzillionth time, and I, She Who Shuffles With the Wind, She Who Ain't Finished Yet, flush with the Blossoms of Spring and a confidence boost from a particularly flattering encounter yesterday, beamed and said "Good Morning." and the reply? (wait for it...)

"Nice dog."

I give up.

Good luck Pro. Ab strains take a while. I had one (abdominis rectus) and the PT finally helped me by isolating the strained muscle while working the surrounding muscles. Some great exercises she gave me, which I still do. Hope you're back in the swing of things soon. Spareribs

Hi everyone,
1 mile warm up & cool down, and 3 miles running.
My neck & shoulders have been bothering me for a couple of days and it's still not better.....almost like a pinching feeling and/or spasm. I've been doing the advil & heat treatment but if it's not better by Monday, I'll call the chiropractor.

Have a good day, all!
Our paper guy drive like Nascar and passes the papers like Tom Brady with a splat in the center of the driveways while going a good 20 mph. So for me and Tory it's dodging his car and flying papers. Several times I could almost feel the air move as the paper goes flying inches in front of my head. It's all about timing. That's the only company we have at 5 am, beside the deer.

Today no dodging but a few deer. 6 Magical Healing Miles with Tory at 9:52 pace, AHR 141. The cold seems to have turned a corner for the better.

have great runs!
MS, we've been over this. You know what "nice dog" means.

Perch, your cold isn't supposed to get better, it's supposed to go away!

I slept in after Reggie woke me up several times during the night. If he wasn't so cute I would have killed him by now.

I finally couldn't find a reason why I shouldn't run this morning and almost ran out of time pondering...

9 miles at a 7:50 pace...had to get home to wake up the kids...

I have also crossed paths with my newspaper delivery person, he almost ran me over 3 times in one day...till I warned him,the next time I would be carrying a rock...no problems since

Hi Pro.

I was traveling yesterday and so never did anything but sit on my butt. So I'll skip the 4-mile walk on my calendar for today and do yesterday's 5-mile run instead. Only question is whether I will feel like including the 3-mile tempo run once I get out there, or if I'll scale back to 5 ez. Will have to check my log to see when the last time was that I actually ran a full 20:00+ tempo run. Perhaps posting this, and shame, wlll motivate me.

But Mustang, it is a nice dig, yes?

8 miles this morning in 28 degree weather, made noticeably colder by the breeze. For some reason I felt a little more sproinky today, maybe it was DW's excellent salmon and rice last night. 1:06:44 (8:20 pace).

Welcome back Pro. Hope you're feeling better Larry. Nice last minute 9 miler, Lynden!

Mike
