I couldn't think of a good title, sorry!

I was up at 3 with a bed full of dogs, kids (and a husband somewhere) so I went and slept in Avery's room and she came in at 6 wide awake so we got up and bella came in with the worst case of itchy ears evah! Needless to say we got up and came downstairs. Doggie ears cleaned, coffee made and poor hermit crab buried in the back yard. We had the cage near the kitchen window which I forgot to close last night so maybe it was too cold....we got him in Hilton Head so he wasn't too old. The little guy is doing fine but this was the big one. I like them much better in their shells...ewwww.

I don't have any fun planned for today really....

Hope everyone has a great day.

Glad things have settled a little, Alexis, and I completely understand while you txt'd so late.

Good news on the appraisal, Duck!

Hope you're not too tired today, Heather. A bit of a rough night for me too. Up too late last night watching a movie (my own fault, of course), then the kiddo was up crying at 4:30am, and I've basically been up every since. It's gonna be a looooooong day here at work...

You both should do what I did..started my day with a pumpkin muffin and now all is right in my world

Finally closing on my refi tonight. Had to call abuot yet another error on the paperwork and got the nastiest attitude from the closing agent. She called me back an hour later with her tail between her legs. We don't need to bring money to closing like she insisted, in fact we are getting almost a grand back!! Woot woot!

Ok folks, let's make it a really fabulous one, ok!?

the same cow-orker who threw me under the bus yesterday came up to me and told me that Shipment has one P instead of 2. I of course have no idea what the hell she's talking about and points me to a box with shippment written on it. I told her that the 3 other boxes with completely different writing on it are mine and that the shipping lady wrote out the rest of the boxes and if she has a problem with spelling on a label she should talk to her.

Morning, friends. I hope everyone who's having a rough morning is able to find some fun to perk up the day. I have class this afternoon, and I have to prep my lecture first and keep reading Comprehensive Exams. It's not my favorite activity.

I had string ensemble last night and I stunk up the joint! Of course, I hadn't picked up my cello since last month's performance, so it wasn't too surprising that I was rusty. We're playing a bunch more challenging music this time around, including the Beatles' "Norwegian Wood". I never realized how complicated the Beatles' music was until I started trying to play it. The rhythms are quite intricate. At any rate, there will be much more rehearsing in my future because I hate being the worst player in the group.

Good Morning everyone! Thursdays have always been my favorite day of the week.

Theia - I hope today will be better for all of you

I don't miss those kidlet sleep issues at all.

Prae - I think it's really cool that you play the cello. I was a flutist for 8 years and sometimes wished I still played. I still have my silver flute and DD wants to play it when she gets to take Band next year.

I have a Drs appt today. I hate going to the Dr for myself - I think I've been all of 3 times in the last 10 years. I've been having some weird issues with my hands. Raynaud's symptoms as well as having trouble grasping things, opening things, dropping things. I'm trying not to freak out about it (I'm staying OFF the medical sites!), but I'm hoping I get some answers.

Kath and Kris - I know you have some expertise with Raynaud's, so if you have any advice or suggestions, please pass them on.

Wippy - Man you co-worker just HAS to have her nose up everyone else's business, doesn't she? Jeesh!

A pumpkin muffin sort of sounds pretty good right now! /drool

Here's a little fun.. me and a friend before this past weekend's Fuzz Run. My bud works for the local General Mills plant, and as part of their booth/display at the expo, Sonny (as in, he's cuckoo for cocoa puffs) was there to give our cereal and to chill with the kiddos. (big kids included too, obviously!)

Add me to the sleepless crew last night- insomnia+acid reflux makes for long nights! Dh comes back today from Stockholm which will help. M is in a super clingy stage and its not easy carrying around a 21 lb baby when you're having another baby in 6 weeks!

Prae- totally cool about your cello playing. Wippy-your co-worker sounds like a moron.Bob-did you get the Accord fixed to your satisfaction?

oh yes she does. I love my job and the majority of the people I work with and even the annoying ones are way better than the people I worked with in the other building but this lady just has to have something to b!tch about constantly. I went 3 days with out hearing something positive come out of her mouth. What cracks me up is her tag line on her email says

forget the pot holes in the road and enjoy the journey instead.

everyday I want to ask her why she's stumbling over the pot holes. She's so nit picky over the stupidest crap.

Morning all.

Good luck tomorrow Maria!

Shannon - good luck with the DR. I just spent my morning setting dentist and doctor appointments for all of us. I've had some crazy symptoms this year too and am going to get checked out. Unfortunately I played on google this morning so I am sure I am dying. <img alt="<img src=" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies//smile.gif" style="width:1px;height:1px;" title="<img src=">

LOVE the pic, Ailarie!

Wippy - that sucks. Sorry work is a PITA lately.

Prae- sorry the strings didn't go as planned. I think that is so cool though - I'd love to be able to play an instrument.

Heather - that sounds like a crazy morning already! I hope you have a good day!

Beaker - congrats on the refi!

I haven't gotten any work done yet today, but am glad I got appointments set up for everyone. I am going to the dentist this afternoon - haven't been there in over a year. I am one of those strange people that likes going to the dentist. I mean, it sucks while you are there, but I love having clean teeth!

We have a crazy action-packed week this week, but last night we had a fire and made smores. DS #1 brought out a blanket and curled up with a book (?!?!?!) and we all had a great time together. It was awesome!

Fun #2: last night one of my GOTR girls asked me if I'd be her running partner in a 5 mile race on Sunday. YAY! Of course. The race benefits pancreatic cancer research and her dad has been fighting it for 4.5 years (typically you only live 1-2 years after diagnosis). I had signed up the family to participate, but thought it was super cute when she asked me to run with her last night. Can't wait. Now I am just trying to talk DS into running with us too. However, he isn't too keen on 5 miles and says he wants to do the 2 mile course.

Ok, so remember when I volunteered at the State Games this summer and I had to take over from the Race Director of the Road Race because she left before the race was over? So, I've gotten a lovely note and e-mail from the volunteer coordinator who is retiring this year expressing how much she hopes that I'll be able to attend the appreciation dinner next month because she wants me to share my funny introduction to the Games (I showed up for my events a week early and drove all over town trying to figure out where I was supposed to be and why no one was taking my calls!). I explained to her that I couldn't attend because I teach class on the same night as the dinner, but thanks anyway. Well, I got an e-mail from her this morning informing me that I was nominated and selected for Female Volunteer of the Year! She really wants me to show up if I can re-arrange things somehow. (A) How awesome! (B) I'll bribe my students with beer and push class back that night; they'll love me! I'm incredibly giddy and proud right now!

Is it possible that you have some carpal tunnel problems? It runs in my family, and I have had some problems from time to time. It definitely can affect my grip strength, etc. The Raynauds is mostly just an annoyance, fortunately.

Kris - I wouldn't have intially thought it was carpal tunnel. I don't do that much repetetive work on the computer really. The symptoms started a couple of months ago around the same time that I was switched to a generic bcp by the pharmacy. I am hoping that maybe somehow it is related to that?

I first experienced it at the hockey rink. My hands started tingling like they were asleep and when I took them out of my pockets, my fingers were dead white. The tips of them tingled into the next day. The same thing happened when I was grocery shopping and in the frozen foods section. The next day it was almost painful to keyboard and I had trouble eating, actually getting my food on my fork and my fork to my mouth. It was like I had no coordination and that bothered me a lot. It took about 2 more days until everything felt normal again.

I'm just hoping it's not a big deal.
