Mornin' gang! I think I'm the first one to start a thread here...unless I'm missing something...which could be totally possible considering all the new changes!

I ran hills this morning and I'm still sweating. Holy humid! My allergies are feeling it, too!

But it's cool in my office and that's always good.

I must go fill my water bottle!

Where the heck is everyone!

With this new site, I ended up getting a bunch of old pms in my inbox. I noticed one from SDP (Sarah) and it reminded me that I haven't heard anything from her in a long time. Is anyone still in touch? The last email was from her from February when she had her baby early.

Good morning Colleen!

Yesterday afternoon, Katholeenie emailed me to ask if my people were ok. My hometown is close to where she lives, and she saw on the news that a roof collapsed at a factory and people were trapped. The story went out over the AP wire, you may have seen it. The factory in question is just 2-3 blocks from where I grew up but nobody I knew worked there. One person died, and we learned late last night that he was the husband of a childhood friend of mine. I did not know him at all, and I haven't been especially close to her since we were in high school, but her dad is still my dad's best friend and we know her family well.

That's my not fun, to be sure. Dunno if I will find any fun today, but I'll try.

Oh my gosh, bard. That is awful. I am so sorry for your friend's family.

I am in major pain. I did my first insanity workout last night. I loved it. It was torturously (probably not even a word!) awesome. i don't think that is the source of most of my pain, though. I had put a bunch of furniture on Craigslist last week. A young girl (maybe 22) came by to pick up an extremely heavy chest, in her Mazda Protege. After we moved it from my basement to her car, she realized it wasn't going to fit. I had a feeling it wouldn't, but she was insistent, so I thought I'd give it a try. Of course, it didn't and now my back is screaming at me. I think today will be a long day!

Could i ask for some awesome playing vibes today? DD1 has her first game in a state softball tournament today. She's excited and really nervous. Thanks!

Ugh. I did get a bunch of old messages back, and a couple were from Voodoo from a little over a year ago when we were planning our trip to Deadwood, South Dakota...

Do we have a smaller smiley selection now?

Work is supah busy again this week. Ay Yi Yi. I like and dislike being the new go to girl for this project.

Not fun: There is some weird gnat infestation in our office. gee-ross.

Also not really much fun: DS appears to have taken up residence at Grandma's house. I'm really not sure what it is I've done to turn him so against me. Well, aside from suspending his phone service. But he's been very good for Grandma so I told him I would reactivate it next week if he continues the good behavior.

Fun: C came over for dinner last night and he brought cake.

Kris, I'm so sorry, that's terrible news.

Lora, what Kath said.

much better night last night. Had a good heart to heart, and then I went to my sis' for supper, which is good for my soul, to hang around my nie-phews. Plus a good night's sleep...I slept one night in the back bedroom with the AC, but I prefer the fan in my room and that's where I slept last night, and much better.

I'm going to look at a house today!!!! New on the market, $219K (!??!?!??!!!!!???!!!!!!!!!!!!) and in my 'hood. It's a 1950's ranch, which isn't exactly what I'd hoped for, but it's much cuter than the other one in the 'hood, and it has a HUGE (city huge, meaning .10acre) yard, with trees. And a garage and driveway. And it's $219K!!! which means, I could put a little less down, be saving $300 a month on housing, and be able to do some work to it.

G'morning all. Though Mark Twain supposedly never said "The coldest winter I ever saw was the summer I spent in San Francisco", I could totally relate to that sentiment walking thru the city this morning (I think our warmth took a vacation on the East Coast, much to you farther eastern-types' chagrin)

Ugh, so sorry to hear that (((((Kris))))) And get better vibes to (((((Becca's back))))) and hang in there vibes to you (((((BigG)))))

Oh, wow boB - what a reminder I guess I should look-see what I have in there

Oh, cool Maureen! Keep us updated

Mmmm, cake...or not so much. A co-worker of mine who's going to pastry school said she had baked one up to bring to the office, but forgot it this morning. Good news for the waistline, but not so much for the tastebuds (she's really really good at baking...)

Fun: I GOT AN INTERVIEW!!!! With the company in the ideal location, that is supposed to treat their people well. Remember that lady who was impressed with my resume and asked for work samples? I emailed her yesterday to follow up and she said she wants me to come in some time in the next two weeks for 2ish hours to meet with her and some colleagues. I haven't emailed her back yet so I don't know what day. But I'm going to try for next week.

WOOHOO!!!!

MORE fun - while I'm in Cleveland for the interview I'm going to meet one of my favorite favorite people for lunch. If this works out Gus and I will be living with her (and her husband and 2 dogs) for a while.

Collen - I haven't heard from Sara since she popped in to tell us about Virginia. I think I still have her email address, if so, I will send her a note letting her know we are thinking of her.

Morning, everyone. Today is errand day. I haven't done the paperwork switch on the new car yet, so I'm going to get that done today. Plus, I got the payment book for the car in the mail (weird concept, but I guess saves money over sending out a bill every month) but it only included slips for the second half of my payments. The loan is from a local lender, so I may pop in and see what's what. Or, I guess I could call. That would probably be easier.

I'm also totally engrossed in a book, "Admission", and though I have over 100 pages left, I hope to get close to the end today.

Re: smileys. I was looking at the question thread for the new site and they said that they had added a package to the old site to get so many smileys but they didn't have that yet here. Hopefully soon.
