<p>Fun: unloading a bunch of clothes to GoodWill today. And apply for a job at the art museum, where I was just reminded last night that one of the knitters works there. So hopefully that will help things. It sounds like an interesting job, and it would only be @5 miles away.</p>

<p>Fun:  a few months ago, <strong>CrazyEye</strong> from the PRT told me about a local community chorus.  I haven't been in a choir/chorus for a few years and I've missed it, and they need altos.  Last week, I went to an open rehearsal and last night I auditioned.  Even though I knew my chances were very good, I was very nervous about the audition. I've always hated them.  Fortunately, it went well and I got in.  <img alt="" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies/banana.gif" title=""> </p>

<p>Litch - last year, I found out that not only was there a HL outbreak in DS's grade, but his LOCKER PARTNER was one of the infected ones.  I.freaked.out.  But luckily, he did not catch a one.  But ever since then, both my kids use Tea Tree oil shampoo.  It is supposed to repel HL.  We have been very fortunate - I believe that it has helped.</p>

<p>Oooh, Kris - that sounds like so much fun.  I love to sing (especially with my sister and brother!) and always wished I had the courage to audition for our community choir.  I'm just a plain old soprano, I always envied the altos because you had all the good harmonies!</p>

<p>Kath - when I went home last weekend, I brought 6 giant Rubbermaid totes of clothing to my Dad's church.  It took us an hour to unpack it all and people were taking it as quickly as it was being put out.  I just can't throw clothes away when I know so many people need them.  I'm embarassed to admit how many of the items still had tags on them.</p>

<p>YAY <strong>Bard</strong>!!! One of my friends is in a bell choir at her church (in Cleveland). I'd love to her her play (ding?) but they play at weird times when I'm not in town. <p><strong>Kath</strong>, what church?  My grandparents were parishoners at Church of the Gesu in University Heights and they had a bell choir.  I remember going with my grandmother to a vocal choir rehearsal, and I could hear the bell choir practicing. <img alt="" class="bbcode_smiley" src="http://files.kickrunners.com/smilies//smile.gif" title="">  I would love to do something like that someday but I don't know of any bell choirs around here.</p>

<p>String ensemble was fun last night.  We didn't play the Handel piece that is kicking my butt and the instructor said we might save it for the spring since one of the members brought 3 of Vivaldi's 4 seasons to play.  We're also mixing classical with Christmas and so it's pretty fun.  Finally, a new player joined us this week -- a young cellist who's switching to the viola.  We desperately needed a viola player!</p>

<p>It's my anniversary today.  4 years ago, DH and I got married during a small, outdoor ceremony conducted by a JP.  I got up that morning and ran 10k, down to a lake I used to swim at when I was a kid.  It was a beautiful day.  And things had such promise.  *sigh*</p>
