Yo.
Getting ready to head out with Hank. Shortie today so we'll walk it out while we get in his minimum hour of daily exercise.

Good luck to ((((((((shaggy)))))))))))) today.

Meeting today and not yesterday. I'm a little scattered these days. My girl talked to another student of my advisor.... he goes 3-4 months without talking to her, won't let her pick her committee and has turned down 3 proposals.

Just so we're all really clear.... i am not the one.

Good luck EQ if you check in!!!

Alright folks. I didn't sleep last night so I got nothing else to say....

Morning, Roo.

Ailarie, it's good that you're getting back to running, I hope it goes well. I remember that when I started up again, my first times out consisted of about 25 to 33% running and the rest walking. The first run/walks were done on a high school track, and I think it was after two weeks I began doing roads again, but on those I would only run where it was fairly level or slightly uphill. I avoided downhill running which is the hardest on bones and joints.

That's all I got for now.

For some reason, I logged on, but kept getting kicked off when I tried to post a "Quick Reply." Ugh. That silly little post took me 4 friggin' tries! You see the efforts I go through for you people?

Morning.. I woke up at 5:15 and could have physically gotten up to run (as in, I wasn't so tired that I had to go back to sleep despite waking up all night with noise in the parking lot because my bedroom windows were open. Geesh some people leave at 4 am to go to work here!) Mentally I just didn't feel like it. Of course, now I'm tired, too. I will probably run tomorrow morning, though.

Mandy good luck! I still have my fingers ready for you!

Happy New Year LL! Melting Pot is good! Enjoy!

Ok, gonna be late if I don't go now. Later peeps!

Morning, friends!

What a beautiful morning to wake up to with the windows open, the air off, and a day off from work. I think I'll run to the gym, get a workout in, then run home. I think I'll even do my cool down with a walk up and around the corner to get a french vanilla coffee and wheat bagel at Dunkin Donuts. Read the paper, have my breakfast on my deck. The sun is shining (what could be better?), humidity is gone, light breeze... Some days, when this is what you wake up to in the morning, you are able to forget all those things that have been weighing on you. You say your thanks, you soak it in, you enjoy the moment.

The worries will come back, but I've started the day without them....

Sorry to get all mushy. Many of us have been weighed down with ailments -- either ours, loved ones', pets'... Some of us have struggled with workouts... Some of us have been weighted with the worries about relationships, work, life...

I hope the rest of you can take just a moment to enjoy something today. Doesn't matter what. You can do it -- I'm sending good vibes your way. What? I woke up to a beautiful morning, and wanted to share it with someone

Good morning everyone!

It's been a while since I last posted...vacation and then KR getting hacked and being super busy at work has not helped my post count at all.

I'm a little tired this morning. DS was up until 1am. Nothing wrong with him, he just wanted to play and not sleep. I dragged my ass out of bed at 6 and got six miles in. My half marathon is on Sunday so I'm tapering this week.

Welcome, Sunnybuns!

Roo, good luck in your meeting today.

Theia, healing and good luck vibes to Shaggy.

Gov, glad to see you are recovering and back at running!

Happy Birthday to Larry's DD!

Solar, you are a very wise woman! Thanks for the reminder!

That's all I got for now, folks. Will hopefully check in later. Have a great day, everyone!

hey ya 30s

One hour class of tap last night. Tap is hard. Esp since i'm in the int beginner class...so we tap the whole time. Oof. My legs were tired. Went to rehearsal after...

I also walked a couple miles yesterday. Not in my naughty librarian shoes though (which I'm wearing again today).

I said "In these shoes??? I don't think so." I said, "Honey, let's do it here."

Totally gratuitious post: I posted this yesterday, but it's a good pic of me and I posted late, so I'm reposting. From the show on Sat night; we were waiting in the trailer to go on:

I'm in the middle with the short hair.

Tonight, Dianosaur, HH and I are toasting KJ with a little faretheewell drink and dinner! 2oh can't join us though.

My mom goes in for her monthly cancer scans today. Say a quick prayer for her if you can. I'm anxious about it and I don't like that I am.

{{{{{{{{{{{Alexis and Shaggy}}}}}}}}}}}}}

Thanks Lora. I get caught up in my own worries a lot...your post made me think a little differently about things at the moment.

Mandy, we never doubted you.

I have a phone interview tomw. Which is good. The bad part is I don't really understand the job description. Oops. It calls for an MLS...so I'm qualified.

Gotta run...work to do and no one else to do it.

Morning folks!!! I kicked my own butt yesterday at the gym and now my butt is sore! Did lots of leg work and ouch!!! Tonight is my first tri class, my coach is teaching it at my gym, very cool, but tonight we swim and I haven't been in the water since my tri (because of shoulder issues) so I fear looking like a fool!

He has more than earned it so I hope he has a great time!

Moe You are amazing! That is such a fabulous picture...but you look that beautiful in person too!! I'm with Solar - thanks for reminding us Gorgeous here too! Had a great and much needed yoga class last night, outside. It was heavenly - felt like I spent about an hour in pigeon pose and could have stayed there all night. I'll get some miles in this evening - something around 12 or so.

Hugs and warm wishes out to everyone needing them!

Welcome back Melanie - how are you feeling for the HM?

Speaking of... who is on the racing docket this weekend? Melanie - HM * P-Tom, Solar, Dave, LL - PDR HM * Pacer & Tim - AF Marathon * Moonie - TRI ...am I missing others?

I am.

5K race being held close to me. About 1.5 miles away. Heck, I don’t even need a car to get to that one, all I got to do is put my clothes and sneakers on, head out the door and jog on over.

Except that whole diabetic thing. Also on the essentials list as I prepare to get this right on Saturday:

one Ultramini glucometer

tube with at least 5 strips, crumpled piece of toilet paper in top to keep the strips from making clicking noise while running

extra carbs, GU packet and glucose tablets

money to pay my entry

Novolog Flexpen

lancet device to self-inflict stab wounds in fingertips for blood testing

Hey ... I found you! You can RUN but you can't hide!! (pun intended of course)

Solar- I loved your post, but in my selfish way I am extremely jealous, not because of your nonselfish way of posting your beautious day, but because I can't enjoy it with you. It happens to be a wonderful cool, crisp, Thurs morning here in MN, and I have to work!

phdatc I love your "Well behaved" quote! I have a co-worker that has it up in her office!

(((Shagy)))

Moe- You are HOT HOT HOT lady!!!

HI Beth

Beaker - Good luck with the water! And enjoy your alone time!

Baggs- That sucks about your buddy, and the marathon!

I walked 4 miles last night again, it takes so long, but I don't mind it. Tonight is either bike or run, I may bike, and run tomorrow, it's supposed to be in the 50's tomorrow for a high!

Week 2 of school for the boys, all seems to be going well. I have not heard any correspondence from the teacher, which happens to irritate me. I wish I knew what they were doing during the day, for example, what time do they eat lunch, when do they work on their worksheets, what else do they do? I don't want to e-mail already and seem like an overbearing parent! (But I am one, so why deny it, right?)
