Nothing for me last night, too hectic in the Beaker household. And I have a meeting tonight so nothing tonight either. Phewey!!

Amy mentioned her core circuit last night. What exactly does that involve? I am in desperate need of some good core work, help me folks!! And Theia, be kind if you chime in, ha!

Beaker - here's the one I did last night: http://fitbie.msn.com/get-fit/6-days-slim-down/page/3

J saw the article in Prevention magazine and suggested we try it while we're debating what race is next and how to train for it. It's tough, but doable. For me, none of the exercises are that bad, but it's more reps and more sets than I'm used to doing.

This morning was the Yoga from the plan, plus elliptical before and walking on the track after. Maybe I'll run again some day :)

Weather is weird here too, and it has been for several weeks. I'm a wee bit tired of it!

Count me in the crowd that needs core work. A ton of it! I've been saying this for ever, and yet I still keep neglecting it. I know that if I strengthen my core and lose a few pounds that I'll be a much better runner. Yet I just don't bring myself to do it. I need a kick in the ass!

Anyhoo, I did manage to run 6.7 miles on the hills last night. I'll get in a few miles tonight, I hope...

9 miles last night

3 miles this morning

I got up too late for my Shred w/o so I'll be doing that after work.

The rain needs to stop - seriously. Seems like almost every run I do in either in the rain or severe humidity. Blah. On the plus side, I have only watered my lawn 1x this year. And it is GREEN.

Core work - I lurv it but don't do it exclusively. I do it at the trainer and on that Shred DVD 1 or 2 times per week.

I always go back to this basic w/o if need be

I get focused core work done at yoga each weeek, but several times a week (it used to be daily! Agh!) I do situps, planks, and other core work when I get up in the morning.

Speaking of yoga, I got to the HOT studio for a 7:15am class this morning. There's something ridiculous about sweating so much the water is literally pouring out of you. 75 min class today.

I'll get a swim done later today -- hopefully at the OWS, unless the thunderstorms come through. My legs are happy about no biking or running today. I've been doubling up a lot lately and while my legs are feeling stronger, they're also feeling worked.

Duck -- I forget which thread it was in, but that was a super cute pic of the kids you posted the other night. Also, what's the update on your surgery/injury?

Dan -- how's it going?

Morning all! It's disgusting here, temp around 68* this morning but CRAZY humid, soupy, foggy, geeeeross. I ran 8 miles and finished with 4x strides, probably weighed 5 lbs. less at the end due to sweat rate.
