Hey Guys!

Add me to the list of folks worrying about Dan.

Cindi, yep appointment was this morning. It pretty much went how I expected it to go down. General back pain is from the two old fractures, nothing can be done about it at this point, it's been too long (this really pisses me off, a doctor should have been more proactive dealing with this when it happened, but what's done is done and a moot point). He said it must have been a heck of a dramatic accident to cause so much damage in someone my age. I just laughed and gave him the short version.

Leg issue is from the herniated disc (this is new, from May), which we'll give an ESI a shot at fixing. I can't get in until the 27th, stupid holidays. The lumbar ESI will be a heck of a lot easier and less risk filled than the ones I've had up in the thoracic region and he really thinks this might help to calm things down, so no real reason not to give it a shot. I shouldn't even miss any running, minus the day they do it. The doctor kept smiling and telling me that I've the fittest person he's seen in ages. He said all he ends up telling people all day long is to drop weight and get more exercise and that 99% of their back problems will go away and that clearly wasn't the issue with me. He even caught me again on the way out and said, gosh it's nice to see someone who really takes care of themselves. It makes me realize how frustrating it must be to constantly be dealing with people who just want pills or surgery and are too lazy to eat right and take care of their bodies.

I still have to run today, but I've just consumed a huge bowl of soup so it'll be awhile.
