I should (and probably already do) know this, but what do you do? This isn't the first time you've mentioned no one noticing you were late to work. And, you seem to get a lot of time off. Sometimes I really wouldn't mind a job like that

Heh. I'm an Engineer. I sit at a desk in front of a computer all day long designing stuff. Nobody notices when I come in late becuase everybody around the office keeps different hours. Some people come in at 6:00am and leave at 3:00pm, others come in at 9:00am and leave at 6:00pm, give or take. I'm usually here from about 7:30am to 4:30pm or 5:00pm. Thus there are people coming and going into the building at all different hours, so nobody pays any attention if someone comes in a little later than their normal time. (Unless you're late for a meeting). I don't punch a clock, so there's no record of when I'm here. The only way someone notices I'm late is if they specifically come looking for me after my "normal" start time...

And I get a lot of time off because I've been here for 12 years. After my 10th year, I started getting 5 weeks of vacation time every year. I haven't taken more than 3 days off in a row in a couple of years, so I take a lot of long weekends (for marathon trips, and for other fun things), so it seems like I'm always having days off. Heck, the 5 weeks of vacation time will make it hard for me to every change jobs and go to another company where I might not get ANY time off for the first year...
