30 minutes easy spin on the elliptical. Legs were a bit fried after last night's trainer session. Tonight I'll head to the pool, and rest day Friday!!

An hour of low-cadence riding on the trainer for me. I'm off to the Alps tonight, where I'll be doing some running for a couple days. Should be fun! Have a great weekend, everyone!

Hell-Tuesday on the dreadmill (yes, I know it's Thursday but Tuesday just was a bad bad day)

NEW 1 MILE PR (by :06)

I think I scared DS7 as I was making all sorts of gasping noises and HR was over 180 entire time, but I kept good form. It hurt. It's nice kind of pain (after)

2850 yds this morning .....just the kind of distance that would throw Tithers into an OCD tizzy. lol

200 wu
2 x (2 x 50 fist, 2 x 50 sw, 2 x 50 paddles) r:15
50 br drill
4 x 300 sw r:45 @ 85%+ effort
50 br drill
8 x 75 kick (fl,bk,fr) on 1:30
50 br drill
100 ez swim

In the middle of that loooong main set, my gut decided to rear its head. Things were undercontrol, but there wasn't any more left in me for that set. Food before swimming is a new thing that I'm experimenting with .... today's didn't go so great. Of course, it also might have been just plain old fatigue left over from yesterday's run.

Either way.....

yummmmmyyyy massage this afternoon @ lunch. I'm loving looking forward to THAT!

Nice job on the PR Ron. I was surprised at all the workouts posted already - good job guys! But, then again, I am an hour late for work, ooops. Yesterday I felt miserable, so I took a rest day. A hot bath and a good night of sleep, and I'm feeling better today.

1-hr spin on the trainer this morning. Small gear in front, and worked through all the gears in back, 5 minutes in each, up to harder, then back down again. Kept around 90-100 rpm. I want to say it was an easy spin, but that was darn hard keeping my cadence up. I don't have a back wheel reader on my computer, so every few minutes, I counted my pedal stroke for 30 sec, to make sure I was within the 90-100 rpm range. I wasn't listening to music or a DVD, so I noticed that when my cadence dropped a little, the sound on the trainer changed. Helped keep me honest!

4-5 mile run this evening with Matt.

Happy Thursday everyone. Hoping for a snow/ice storm tonight and tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed.

Yay Ron!

Early date with Coach Troy for high cadence work and one legged drills. Hopefully got enough endorphins going to tackle the dragons at work today. Been in task force all week...no one's happy.

Pool tonight for an easy swim.

It's almost Friday.

Great job Ronbo! So nice to hit those milestones, huh?

Another rest day for me. Today is my massage!! My friend and I decided to treat ourselves after a great race!

I'm just taking it easy this week until I get some things figured out (still not sure of my first race). I'll probably do an easy run on Friday and/or swim. Then, I'm riding again on Saturday morning.

DDs have a Marathon Kids thing on Saturday as well. Then, we're getting them new shoes.

Busy weekend planned already!

great job on the PR, Ron! I try to keep my music loud enough on the treadmill that I can't hear the breathing noises.

hit the treadmill today for 2.5 miles - should have been three but I was late getting to the gym due to, um, digestive issues and I didn't want to miss my train. behind on my plan for the week, but I'm not stressing about it.

I went to bed at 8:30 last night feeling like general crap. feel a smidge better today but my stomach is not. happy. combine that with a toothache from the root canal I have been putting off for almost 30 months.... and I'm really not pleased to be at work today.

Good morning all

1850 meters in the pool this morning. The main set was 3 x 500 meters.

1850 meters w/ 3 X 500 meter workout
100 meter WU
2:09 rest
550 meters – 10:37.44 Ooops I miss counted my laps. I thought I did but I didn't want to stop to figure it out.
4 min rest
500 meters – 9:40.78
3 min rest
500 meters – 9:25:47
1:30 rest
200 meters CD

All in all I felt pretty good. My times got faster each set. My breathing has improved drastically. I was able to do the first 550 meter all in a three stroke breathing pattern. One the second set I made it 300 meters before I had to start alternating to two strokes. On the last set I made it 200 meters and then to a two stroke breathing pattern. I tried to switch to the weak side on every other lap

Have a good day all.

Nice job Ronbo.
60 min computrainer ride. Tried the first part of the IMLP course for fun - took me 60 minutes to go the first 12 miles - good hill workout.
Good thing I'm going to wait year or two before attempting this course for real.

Flu is still kicking my ass. Amazing how awesome you can feel one day, and then 4 days in a row be knocked on your ass. Back at work just so that I can get everybody else sick. Well, not really, but I am back at work... but might not last much longer. Headache returning.

4 mile run early this morning. Very easy. Had to be. Lungs acted as a govenor, as I could only run as fast as they would not burn. Which was really slow.

I've ended up going 5MPH slower on computrainer courses than courses I actually raced. If they need to improve one thing its estimating speed. The drag factor is suppose to help, but it doesn't in my opinion. But mostly I pay attention to the wattage anyways.
