ran 40 minutes on the TM, suppoed to be one hour but my neck was really bothering me and it did not get better, which it sometimes does as i loosen up while running. So i figured to bag it. I am in taper mode anyway.

Abs and arms afterwards.

I'm running tonight with the group. I just wanted to come here to announce that the VRAA starts tomorrow for the next 24 days. There's still time to sign up. Participating won't take much more than what you already do here on the daily thread.

All that's required is to post your daily score each day. I'm not asking to take away from great group support and the daily encouragement from this space, but rather I just want to make sure everyone knows that a new game is starting.

Hope to see more of you all there.
Meri...

Rest, massage... more rest?

Roots...

I'll be there.

A semi-restful really slow run. I figured, "why fight it, your body wants to be slow, so let it." It was a scheduled recovery run anyway. 6.1 miles in 1:02:30 or so.

Have good ones all.

I just had a massage on Tuesday. But it was mostly on my butt
I think it is sinus related. Hard to explain. gonna see if i can get a massage, even a mini one today.

Dang it! I'm posting yesterday's stuff in today's thread. I feel all lonesome when I post last. Yesterday's workout:

I intended to do 5 miles but stopped too soon, because I mis-rememberd the number of times I had to go 'round the loops where I was running.

When I realized it, I had already pushed to finish faster. Not that it freakin' helped. I felt like I was working hard the whole run, but it turns out I did 3.3 miles in 35 something. I left my dang watch at home so I figured around a 10:50 pace since I don't remember my seconds, I might have gone a bit faster, but not much. Maybe it was just one of those days.

Oh, and ellen, I hope your foot heals soon! Sorry about the injury, that just sucks.

Meri, I hope your neck gets sorted out so it doesn't bother you.

roots, tomorrow! OK.

grizz, good run

Meri: you know massage therapists? How do you find them, the yellow pages?

Easy day for me today. I've pretty much stuck to 2+ hours per day for the last couple of weeks, I'm down almost 10 pounds since early Feb. Easy today, moderate food. Off tomorrow and carb load (except for striders at all the rest areas driving up to Bellingham.

I'm on hold with tech support in Bangalore while I'm at a remote jobsite trying to get a few things to work. Thought I'd pop in and poke you all with my crutch while I'm waiting.

Rest Day. Taught pilates this morning using the big physioballs -- those are so much fun.

As soon as I get my work done, I'm going home and doing at least an hour of yoga.

meri, how about that new massage monster you showed us yesterday for your neck? I hope you get some relief.

and ellen, glad to see you in here. aha, I see who you finally found to poke with that crutch lady.

as for me, I started out running half a mile on the treadmill before a fuse blew in our building. Philip was on the one next to me, and all of a sudden they just stopped working! So we headed outside to play dodge the lizard (it's not kinky; the geckos on our sidewalks run under our feet as we run) and got in another 1 1/2 miles of running. Then I hopped on the eliptical machine (on a diff circuit in the gym) and put in 40 minutes.

dev, your lizard story reminds me of a Ft. Lauderdale road trip way back when. returning to Tampa along the alley, we stopped in the Everglades and rented bikes somewhere along that path (can't remember the name of the place.) But I remember some mighty big lizards, er gators blocking the way. We had to CTFU and zig-zag through the gators to pass by!! Ahh, the joys of Florida...

Tonight's run: Breezy but clear 35F at 6:30p.

11 miles total, 89 minutes
5mi warm-up
3mi @ T-pace (4x1200m; with 1min recoveries)
3mi cool-down

T = 6:35 pace

Ran with a group of four. Not bad at all. I've been doing two quality workouts per week for the last 6 weeks. I'm going to cut it back to one longer quality workout for the next 3 weeks.

Now off to prepare for the VRAA!

Nice job Roots!

8 miles for me in 62 minutes. Perfect weather and I was running with a friend who is quite a bit faster than me. We talked the whole time and the pace felt quite easy, with my last mile being my fastest.
