Good morning, TEAM LIT!

(BTW, every time I type "Good morning, TEAM LIT!", in my head I'm saying as, "Good morning, Vietnam!")

ksurp: 1 mile does it. Nice job. Not easy, I know. But seriously, this goes a long way of committing your hobbies as lifestyle. Because it becomes something you do. You don't think about it. You just do it. And find ways to do it. Because it's important. Nice job!

MQ: Which soccer programs? You know my background was playing ball (soccer) up to college. I still follow to this day, and when I tire of marathons and such, I'll be back playing again on the social level. And yeah, I follow college soccer too.

Me...

6 mile trail run with one other early this morning. First twenty minutes or more was in darkness, our path lit only by headlamps. During that time a root greeted my foot. Bang, down I went. I rolled pretty good to avoid any damage. But because of the warm temps this morning, I had shorts on so skinned my knee. Good battle wound.

Great day, y'all!

Good morning and day to all before and after my post.

zojmn: Nice work!

Thor: She has been talking to the coach at Wentworth (Div 3) and WPI (also div 3 I think). UVM likes her but it is a much bigger school than she wants and they don't have her major (biomed engineering). Not sure about RPI, Tufts or MIT. Basically she wants a Div 3 school since she is small she knows she is likely not to get much play time otherwise and also wants to focus on studies and not just soccer.

4 mile run with the group this warm a.m. Had some extra shows today which was AWESOME! R and J were there but K also came and J's man and my hubster added to make us 6. J and I did negative splits and avg a sub 10. We are now looking for our 13.1 that can hopefully get us both a PR for the distance.

Work holiday lunch today and then groceries for the major cooking we are doing for Saturday. Cannot wait to get cooking and baking this year!

Happy holidays to all for whatever it is you are celebrating this year!

Awesome. I have a good friend who's son just got in and will accept to WPI. He's in for one of the engineering programs, I think mechanical.

Daily run. Went exploring a bit and found some nearby trails to run. Not many footprints in the snow and lots of unpacked areas. Kind of slow going but it was fun. This may be my last run in Vail as we're leaving sometime tomorrow.

I got zip today, and tomorrow.

I developed blisters on the pads of my feet over the last few days as a result of wearing cotton socks instead of some quality running ones, plus running on the TM which means I was sweating a lot more than normal. I did my 14 mi run yesterday anyways. That wasn't particularly bright as later in the day I could barely walk. Was a little better today, I'm almost walking normal and I will lay off the running tomorrow also. I have a 2.5 hour run on Christmas Eve and have a number of friends lined up to join me for parts of it, so I'm hopeful I'll be ready to go by then.

Enjoy the holidays, tri-peeps!

Thor - battle scar on trails!! I know that won't stop you. Heal well.
Reg - impressive!!!!!! Congrats on the big 5!
Mike - cotton socks bite. Not sure how pre-techsocks era runners dealt with blisters. Heal well!
Zjin - good luck with the complete and speedy recovery!

A long day yesterday... Took a day off work. Early yoga (first time with thus teacher for a long time... And I was stiff). Then ended up working on and off due to some urgent issues. Baked more cookies between phone calls. Dragged DS to accompany my run to the post office/bakery in downtown northville. Then lots of driving between the kids activities and shopping. I really wanted to squeeze a swim so I went at.. again at 10:30pm. 1500m. Busy holiday time and double (or triple like yesterday) won't work well.... Looking forward to just a run today (fri)

Thanks so much for asking. MRI was this a.m. friday and I am waiting to hear from Dr. on results. I can't remember if I am going to call or he is. In any case I'll call Tuesday to see what he has to say. I am hoping for him to stay stop being a wimp and work through it rather than something else.
