Push ups, pull ups and core, followed immediately by a 45 min run this morning with 25 in Z4. Got poured on the last 10 min of the run and my Garmin died on me at 38% battery life with about 2 min left (more on that later), so my 10 minute cool down is a guess based on past runs and gmaps.pedometer.

As Thor mentioned in the Streak Thread, I go out for a "quick" mile on my non run days, to keep the streak going. If you are going to do a faster paced one like I have been doing, do get some kind of a warm up as he suggests. I don't just head out for my run, I do either my push ups, pull ups and core, or just core by itself immediately before the run, and it's all pretty high intensity. I've worn my HRM on occasion during these and my HR always gets up to at least Z2. Whether I'm doing all, or just core, it takes me a little over 10 minutes to complete the entire routine, so by the end I've broken a good sweat. If you are interested in my routine, I'll post it for you to try. This is stuff I came up with on my own because I wanted some kind of strength training, but I don't want to spend hours doing it.

Now, for the Garmin. Anyone else have anything like this happen? The watch died on me with 38% left. I got back home and plugged it in and that's what it said was left. I tried turning it on and it will only stay on for about a minute before giving a battery low warning and then turning off again. This happened once before, when it was brand new, but I can't remember the steps I took to get it to shut off at a lower %. Any suggestions? Oh, I've got the 310xt.
