Look at me starting a thread! Forced no workout today. Very early meeting in town. Yes, I'm making progress. Over a month and no meltdowns. Good news. Taking it very slow though for a while and letting the bod ease back in. My goal is 25-30 MPW by Spring. Hey, you gotta have a goal, right?

16ish mile spin after dinner last night. Very much needed. At work I learned that two of my favorite residents had passed away last week. Ride felt very good. 1500ish meter splishing and splashing this morning. Wondering if my friend Deanna can find me a spot in the kindergarten class so maybe I can learn to count.

Dan--that's great news!

zrun - nice job on the middle faster during an easyish trail run with non standard mileage.

4boysmom - that taper workout was so good you posted it twice!

Dan - awesome!

Another early wake up call from DD (3am this time) so I was rather groggy when the alarm went off at 5am. Eventually got out and slogged my way through 9.5 miles. It would have been 10 but from the time I headed out to when I came back a construction crew was blocking the entire sidewalk and half the road so I had to talk an alternate route. I need a nap.

Mornin' peeps,

Busy day at work...I packed a bag for a run anyway. Actually I would have preferred to XT today and ease the running back in slower, but there's no way I'm going to make it to the gym during the day and the evening looks likely to be too wet for cycling outdoors. So I'll hopefully escape for another 3 miles or so, just like yesterday at easy pace. This time however I'll wear the knee sleeve.

Dan - great to see you getting the ole' momentum back.

4BM - nice job on the pedaling and stroking

zrun - you are definitely risking chances' ire with distances like that

RA - way to get the sleepy 10 in. And BTW, the knee sleeve is a Pro-Tec, though I've got CEP and 2XU calf and arm sleeves. I'm beginning to feel at least one of them should give me an endorsement deal.

Another day of slow shuffling around the office park at lunch. 9:30-10:00/mile pace is about all the knee can take right now. But at least I ran more today than yesterday -- if only by .10 mile. 2.77 total.

I'm begging you all to stop the insanity with the odd distances. Between zrun's 8.4 (and then fractionalized kids' ages to boot) and Hawk's unconscionable 2.77, I'm pulling my hair out.

7 easy running yesterday, and 11.00000 on the MTB into work today. I'll swim 2,000.000000 yards later.

LOL Chances.....

No run today because it's crazy at work and tonight meeting is a meeting. So, results = off day.

Today is our last meeting for my Half Marathon scheduled 8/28. I can't believe how this thing came together and how many partners I have that are making this an amazing event. Hawk - I was able to get the Philly Phanatic for an hour!!!!!! Not even the Philadelphia Marathon could get him, but it helps to be lucky and at the right place at the right time. We have him stationed at mile 2 to cheer on the runners.

The registration was not as high as I was shooting for (as of today 321) but it is an inaugural event and hoping that years down the road it will be a much larger. My claim to fame runner is Lori Yasso, Bart Yasso's wife is registered.

Enjoy all.
