Good Morning! I'm surprised I'm the first post this late . . .

I ran 20.5 miles this morning. The 20th mile was exactly an 8:00 min. mile and my overall pace was 8:41. Not as fast as I would have liked, but after a good 18 miler last week and a small race Monday night, I knew it wouldn't be too fast - but got the miles covered.

Pro - hopefully a couple easy days will help recover your pains!

Time for a nice big glass of chocolate milk!

All have a great day!

Good Luck and Have Fun to the H2Cers and go Millbot!!!

Nice run Pink. I wouldn't think you'd be to disappointed in that run this morning. I picked up 6.35 miles this morning @ 8:10 avg pace and will double up tonight adding about 6 more. Plan on 13 or so easy tomorrow morning.

Wow Pink, was that before work ? Nice job!

I'm still on the Cape. That Falmouth Road Race route was so nice yesterday, I returned for my mid-week m-LR. Ran the route from finish to start to finish (that is pub to pub to pub). 14.12 miles in 2hrs flat (8:30 pace AHR 157). Nice breeze and drizzle on the return leg. Love the little hills to get the heart pumping briefly! I could run up a hill to a light house all day long.. So special!

Have greta runs!

Pink. Nice way to fit my normal weekly mileage into one speedy morning run before starting your day.

No run for me today. But I'm planning on a lunchtime run tomorrow and then a long run of 10 miles on Saturday, so I guess two rest days in a row is okay.

Good morning to all, Good runs Pink and perch, and nice paces too, all that done before I get out of bed

Millbot, are you going to run that 1/2 marathon barefoot??

Worked late last night to finish up some project we've been working on, so now I'm in the Official H2C Party Mode. Our team name is Team Stop Whining Crybabies I'm guessing there's some history to this that I don't know about. I'm leaving here sometime this afternoon as I'm meeting my van around noon tomorrow near Portland Airport. Portland's a five hour drive and I still have to leave my vehicle somewhere and then get to the meeting spot. So I think I'll get there tonight and then sleep in tomorrow.

Early wishes for a great weekend all

Congrats on your promotion to 5K runner Tamster, at this rate you'll be Ultrarunner by your BD

Have a great time, you Hood to Coasters! My running club is sending a team.

It turns out I will be driving a van with Mr. Forward to Las Vegas on saturday to pick up some motorcycles, so I will get my 18 mile run in first, then head out. I guess we will live the wild life in Vegas when we get there. <snooze ..zzzzzzzzz>

I'm so jealous of the H2C crowd. Frequent updates will be required. Sans, will Mr S be coming along to provide entertaining editorials?

Pink, that was a fabulous long run. Someday when I grow up, I wanna run like you.

I don't go out until a session with Coach at the track tonight. I don't have much speed in me... so we'll just go and amble around a bit. I think I'll take a bunch of my medium-aged shoes along and decide, once and for all, which feel best with the orthotics.

Excellent run, Pink. I can't even begin to fathom running that fast, that far. I managed 12 this morning with a hair over 9 run with a friend. Not to try to show Pink up or anything but my last mile was the fastest at 9:34. hehe.

Johnny, I have no idea about the history of that Crybaby name. I think you should've been the Gods and Goddesses or something. Hope everyone has a great time and enjoys the event.

Time to eat!

I must admit I want to run the Hood to Coast one day - All I need is a team over there to ask me

I have been posting my runs on my blog and on the Run and Race Report Forum, but as more people post here, I guess I should write here as well!

Well, today I ran a 6.6 mile run at 8 minute pace, along the Liffey and out along Sandymount Strand - It's Dublin! Nice and steady to follow my 7.5 mile run last night - Building up the miles slowly but surely.

Johnny and I are from the same town - about 4 hrs south of Portland where the H2C to starting out. I have a feeling he'll love it so much and will want to do it every year. Maybe Johnny would be so inclined to organize a relay team of runners from our neck o' the woods. And of course, we'd love to invite our favorite irish runner as well. Since I'm half irish, I would need some more irish blood on the team, assuming Johnny would want me on his team?

That sounds like a good idea, a team of Kicksters/CRer's. From what I understand it fills up in something like 15 minutes or thereabouts after registration opens, and they turn away as many as apply.

As the Tamster wells knows, I've had a megacrush on her for the last year, 48 hours in a van would be a dream come true

Tom, you've really had some heat this summer. Is that typical for you. Those temps you've been posting are most impressive.

Just back from the physio! He says that my layoff has been doing a lot of good, and that I'm much, much better than I was in the shin department. So: with ice and liberal use of The Stick, I'm cleared to consider myself recovered.

Although I'm to go very, very gently, please.
