Got out for my planned 10 miler. Easy pace. Slower than Hawk. Weather was actually nice... 35F with a light breeze on the way back. Now, I just need to schedule a nap while at work.

Unscheduled rest day. Had planned on heading to the gym. I usually avoid going Tues/Thurs because of one woman that's there then. She chewed me out on Tuesday, so really didn't wanna deal with her today. Gotta mow the lawn and get ready for riding up to Grandma's tomorrow. Plan on taking the hound walkies while son2 is at his guitar lesson. Meh... too much stress in life to worry about getting in stupid workouts.

RA- Nice job on the 10. 'slower than Hawk' is way too broad of a statement. That could very well be the speed of sound paced 10 mile run

MOM- enjoy the rest. and don't let anyone else chew you out. don't make me come up there and straighten some woman out.

I am hoping my friends do not bail on me and we can join up for a group run at a running store tonight, but neither one has confirmed. If we do, it should be a fairly quick paced 4-7 miles. (free beer afterwards) I love these group runs.

Low 40s and still breezy, there was a pretty light turnout. Made sure to start off easier this time (kept myself in check the first mile chatting with a guy who had run Boston) and 3 x 1 mile were 8:07, 7:38 and 7:24. Each mile I stayed a little ahead of son1 the first three laps. He kicked past me in the homestretch the 1st and 3rd miles, and was just a couple of seconds back on the 2nd mile.

Nice job on all the running, resting and such this morning. I had a good tough workout this morning. 6 X 90 sec. hills. It was much better than when I did the same workout 2 weeks ago.

Paces were:

7:24; 7:21; 7:16; 7:16; 7:16; 7:10 The numbers are pretty consistent. Overall 5 miles today.

Sounds like perfect conditions last night Z.

Nice paces for a hill workout Kevin.

Unexpectedly nice little run for me. 6 at an average 7:19 pace. Wasn't really pushing it until the last mile that I got in under 6:50. Been a while since I ran sub 7:30 paces without trying.

Morning all, nice runs being put down so far.

I was in late to the office due to a morning dentist appointment, just got here a little while ago. Nonetheless, I'll try and get a little work done before I slip out about an hour from now to run - can't go later because I have a 2:30 meeting.

My knees are telling me I need to get off roads for a day so it's looking like a few laps on the little campus trail loop. About 4 laps, plus the run from/back to the office should make for about 5 miles or so. That's all I've got time for today.

BTW, I'm racing this weekend. 8k race downtown on Saturday. Should be interesting...I looked at the course and there are no less than 7 turnarounds. I know there are all kinds of issues with running races in downtown DC, multiple agencies, all with their own police force, and every manner of permitting restrictions to work around and such...but 7 turnarounds? I'm not making this up, check out the course map.

Easy did it on the little trail today. 4 loops, 5.56 miles, 8:24/mile pace. Nice to be in the woods sheltered from that wind, too.

Hey all -

Happy Thursday, weekend is almost here...

Mom - you have 4 boys, don't tell me you let a girl intimidate you! You can always wait for her in the parking lot and put bike tracks across her back!

Hawk - the course looks like a maze for mice! Will there be cheese at the end?

Nothing for me today... too much work and the work load schedule is getting old. I am starting to sound like BBS but I dont' get overtime :(
