Thursday, 3/26 Workouts

Where is everyone?

40 minutes ellipticating - 40-75% resistance at 5 minute intervals - overall 6:38 elliptipace.

Feeling pretty good about workouts this month (5x week, every week) - until I started looking back at bike commuting. Easy to figure out where this +10-15 lbs came from, when I was burning 4-5 times as many calories monthly!

Off tomorrow (picking up DS from the airport) - so great weekend all! Good luck with the marathon, Yo - and anyone happening to be doing the ES20 miler....

Cheers,
Geo.

Geo - good job! You can blame the crazy winter there. I am sure your lbs start melting away as you start commuting! And thx for sending the good luck!

Julie, you were so right! My legs today were so springy that I had to walk more than a few times to stop myself going too hard. 3.5miles. I am excited! DS took second day off school, getting better though after 102F fever. DD is better too, she was balking at me for nothing, yep she is back! And off to NYC this evening after a short home concert. 7pm departure, all night in the bus to get to NYC.. crazy schedule. No sign of sickness in me, knock on wood.

Almost weekend, yay!

Yoshiko - I'm so excited for you! Good luck!!

Great long run this morning, probably too long but everything felt good! Maybe it was the birthday pie I ate for breakfast. ;)

Good afternoon, Y'all!

Reg: Nice pace yesterday!

Yoshi: Glad the legs are springy again.

Double for me today...

4.5+ mile run early this morning. Laced up a new pair of shoes in the NB Fresh Foam Zante (http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=htt...=Lime+Green_with_Black#color=Lime&h=MAQEr8Zhn). I absolutely LOVE these and think I'll be able to pile solid miles on them, both good for fast running and racing and long runs. We'll see.

Then at noon...

~6.5 mile tempo hill run in 46:16 with 3 passes of a 6 minute. .85 mile hill:
o WU - 5 min jog to hill
o 3 x HILL TEMPO w/honest jog back down
o CD - 5 min jog back to base
*Averaged a snappy 7:17 on this run that included stopping to drink water at the bottom of the hill, so pretty happy here.

Hi Everyone-
I am still down with the sickness which is driving me crazy. This is the longest I've been sick in years. Finally got a dr's appointment today and it was rather unhelpful - just a virus that needs to go away. I'm not sleeping through the night, can't breathe or stop coughing and I leave for Uganda in 10 days and don't want this to linger any longer. I really miss working out. Hopefully the weekend will bring me back to normal. In the meantime I'll live vicariously through all of your workouts!

No commute today, worked from afar. That gave me some more time and I put in 3.5 miles after work. One of somewhat cold days with a bunch of wind. Makes it hard to dress correctly. Guessed mostly right.

New home is NOT in a flat area. Good rollers everywhere. Looking forward to the impact that will have in the coming months.

Did i not pay attention and did we finally drive Bannon away for good? Or is it just tax season?
