fuller--could you see if my motivation is with yours? I got up early enough to head to the track. Then... nuthin'. It's supposed to be in the 50's this afternoon, so planning to head to the metro park for a little trot. Plan says 6, but we'll see.

Happy St Pats Day, Hope everyone remembered to wear their green today

I'm gonna run a couple 'cruise' miles on the TM, then hit the hay so I can get up early enough to go to the Pub Run. Should be fun... having to go to work tonight and probably having to work 12 hrs, not so much.

Morning all,

We should be having a nice spring day here and then it gets really warm (70s!) tomorrow.

Track workout planned for later...probably after work. I'll hit one of the HS tracks on the way home. It's a tough one tonight...mile by 200s.What's that? Run a fast 200 (mile-3k pace). Stop for 30 seconds...that rest goes by a lot faster than you think. Line back up and do another 200. Repeat until you've done 8 (i.e., one "mile by 200s"). Jog a very slow quarter. Do another set.

I last did this in the summer and made 2.5 sets. I don't do this one often...it's basically a once-per-season workout.

Enjoy those runs later, BBS/4BM/Kevin. Nice job on the 7, zrun.

A slogfest for me today. 5.75 miules in 54:07(9:25). It was just a tough run this morning. Tomorrow is a rest day. Chiropractor appointment and probably some stretching etc.. tomorrow. Otherwise as with today I am going to watch some basketball and take it easy.

4bm- Hopefully the motivation was found. Maybe a leprechaun stole our motivation.

BBS- Good luck on the pub run tonight.

Nice job getting out there everyone.

Got out for a lunch time run. Yesterday morning it was 32F, today over lunch it was a very windy 62F. I decided to run a bit further than planned and finished with a wind swept 10 miles. A sub 8mpm pace almost killed me. Still I think I'm slowly recovering from the sinus/cold/cough symptons of late.

Finally got out there! Headed to the metro park, which helped. 65* and stupid windy, but enjoying the spring weather! First 4 laps went well. Start of 5th the IT band started screaming. I shut it down right quick! However, walking back to the van it loosened up. Sat down on the path and stretched and was good to go. Finished it out with no problem. 7 laps, plus a skosh, to make it an even 6, 8:51pace. I'll take it.

Flyby- I am on my phone. We're on vacation in St Louis. After all day at City Museum, I did a short run on the hotel treadmill.

Well, I didn't make it to the track so I couldn't do the killer 200s workout. So I did a ladder interval workout on the treadmill instead, one that I usually nail outdoors on the track. But for some reason I stunk at it tonight. I think my lack of racing this season has me not very sharp on speed even though my conditioning is solid. And worse it's hard to get on tracks in the evening due to HS school sports events taking precedence. So I guess I'm going to have to look at the 5k race coming a week from Sunday to give me the speed jolt I really need.
