Good morning fellow kickrunners!!!

Great morning in the "fishbowl"! I decide to work on speed this morning with six 50 meter sprints, ended up doing seven by accident. I can't count. The plan was 200 Meter WU 6 X 50 with 200 meter CD with 1 minute rest in between each sprint.

total swimming 750 Meters - 15:09 (total time including rest - 23:5. The goal was under 1 min for each 50 meters

1-53:26
2-53:00
3-53:51
4-55:00
5-53:34
6-54:15
7-57:11

I did it . I didn't think I would make my goal for each lap.

Happy running/swimming/cycling/HEALING or whatever you decide to do today.

Nice going Dave.

Alex - What are the temps like in Wisconsing? We here in Alabama are having a heat wave. Been in the low 80's all week. Have a great run later.

Runasics - How long was the cycling class? I am thinking about looking for a place to take spinning classes. Great run last night.

Hey everyone,
I got an email from mom this morning asking where we all are.

LOL

Gave her the directions to find us.

Anyway, yesterday I didn't get back in here to post my lunchtime
run, but I did it. Total there was 8.43 miles, 66 minutes. It was
a nice little easy run.

Dave - way to go on your swimming. I know what that means to
accomplish something like that--Phillip has been doing some great
swim workouts--he LOVES it.

Alex, kfuller, RunAsics - have a good time later.

I'll be joining you all with a lunchtime run (see above, it's going to be
the same), and then an elliptical machine session after work.
Should be...pretty much...the same as always. LOL. Have fun out there you guys.

Ahhh.... so this is where y'all went!!!

60mins sitting on the bike going nowhere. Just couldn't get into the workout for anything.

QUick little 2m jog. Managed a 8:24pace. Not a clue how I managed that.

Heading to the doctor in just a bit. Scared to death what they are going to find, but at the same time looking forward to getting some answers.

Interesting note--I've seen this doctor before. For years I had a piece of glass in my shin. I had been gardening when I kneeled on a piece of beer bottle. I could see the piece of glass but couldn't get it. Eventually it encapsulated and all was good with the world. Except, I couldn't run. The pounding would cause the glass to rub, breaking the encapsulation which would hurt like hell. Four years ago it started really bothering me, so I went to the doctor to have it removed. He said he couldn't feel it. I promised him that if he cut 'right there', he'd find the glass. Sure enough, he did, and the blade hit the glass. He looked up at the nurse and said that didn't sound right! The look on his face was priceless!!! And y'all know how the story ends...

Hi all! Hopefully I'll be able to keep everyone straight before too long. It's great to have so many more people participating.

I am SO READY to run, but am giving myself another day. I'm supposed to wait until Saturday/Sunday ... not likely. After work I'll do an elliptical session (zzzzzzzzzzz) before taking pilates and teaching yoga. Thanks to those of you who thought about my toe yesterday. I think it is calming down.

4boysmom, good luck at the Dr.

Well 3 finals down, 1 to go (ochem). Accounting kicked my butt this morning, its not nice to give such a hard test at 7:45 I'm planning on 3 miles here before my next exam once my breakfast settles...I had a biscuit with sausage gravy, yum!

Megs, I ran 24 miles on the treadmill in August when I was training for the Omaha Marathon. It's amazing what a TV will do.

Treadmill - Being stubborn helps - Constantly varying speeds/incline helps - Good Music - TV helps - But when it comes down to it the stubborn thing wins out - I have run 50k on a treadmill - No TV - No Music - Just me, myslef and I.

Yes - RunForFun or MTPWI or WIMTP

RichardC - You seem to be getting very consistent work done - How many days a week are you running my Clydesdale Brotha from anotha motha?

Another Work Party tonight - I just pray for moderation

I still have 50# to go in the next 130 days

Mikey - I almost wish I had run on the treadmill today. 8.1 at 8:40 pace and I'm happy with that considering the route is much hillier than my normal route and the last 3 miles were head on into 20mph winds.

Dave - today when I ran it was 30* with windchill of 13*.

Mikey - g'luck with that shindig. Just think of how much harder you'd need to work to get those extras you add on tonight off again. Is it really worth it?

Man, haven't been able to get on kickrunners all day.

Couldn't use my GPS because it was too cloudy, so I just ran with my watch and ran for about 28 minutes, which we'll call 3 miles.

So that Ochem exam I thought I had at 3:25 turned out to actually be at 1:05 (I read my schedule wrong), a fact that I realized at about 2:00pm. SO...I jumped on the bus and got to campus at 2:15 and my professor was like well here you can still take it, but I have to collect it at 3:05. So I had 50 minutes to take an exam that was written for a 2 hour time slot. I finished on time, but didn't get to check my work much. Hopefully I didn't screw up the A that I had in that class!

I was wondering if the influx of people from the CR broke Kick! Glad to see it's back up.

My workout Thursday was some 1/2 mile repeats on the treadmill.
1 mile warmup (8:37 pace)
2x 1/2 mile (7:47) 1/4 mile rest (8:27)
1/2 mile (7:41/7:35 - I started at 7:41 then after 1/4 mile went to 7:35)
1/2 mile cooldown (8:27)
Total miles: 3.5

Followed that with upper body weights and *gasp* some pushups (I loathe them!)
