Ran 3 on the TM before work yesterday. I hate running in the morning. I also had an hour of tap last night. Once rehearsals start for the show...I'll have HOURS of tap and dancing...I'm hoping to literally dance my ass off!

Hi all -

50 minutes last night on the elliptical...I barely made it to the gym cause I was so sleepy.

But another gym session tonight, if I can get there through the storm we're expecting.

On the plus side, my shin has had barely a twinge in several days...I have an ART treatment on Friday, I think I'm really close to starting up my running again. YAY!

Cause the gym is nice, but one of the things I miss about running is the simplicity - change to my running clothes, head out the door and GO.

[plus, apply body glide, find headphones and attached nano, set watch, etc, etc!]

I did get to check out yesterday's thread this morning- Maria, glad it's just a muscle strain. Take care of yourself!! Everyone else, you need new softball teams.

Have a great day, all!

I have cross training tonight on the schedule. It might be a motivation struggle as I have 5 hours of driving today and a conference to sit through. Both of those things normally drain me like nothing else but hopefully I'll show a little dedication when I get home. Happy runs, walks, workouts, etc to everyone.

Good Morning!

We're supposed to get some pretty nasty weather over here so I got into work at 6:45 to be able to get home early. I brought my gym bag but if they weather is really bad I will work through lunch to get out of here even earlier.

They are calling for 5-8 inches during the day of sleet, snow and freezing rain and more tonight. People around here tend to drive like idiots when the weather is bad so I want to be out of here before the mayhem.

Good Morning--

I'm not sure what's on tap yet today, something around 5 miles or maybe a little more. I'm needing a structured training program, that will start by the end of next week. As long as someone/something, even a book, tells me how far to run and how fast, I'm all good; if I have to make it up on my own, I'm lost. I like being a "student", I guess.

We got in some good, bad tennis last night. Maybe that can be my speedwork, it certainly feels like it. It also was a good reason to continue my denial of the need to get to work on the Christmas shopping.

Everyone stay safe in that nasty weather today!

Mornin!
Pilates is done for the day. I think I should get extra credit for doing it and concentrating while Hank was peek a booing (and saying rrrrr rrrr rrrr) at me from under the bed and sitting on me. Gah. Katholeenie....our boys should meet....

Also have a sack o soup ready. (i cut up all the stuff for potato soup so i can get it started and transfer it to the crock pot while im at a basketball game tonight).

Maria I am so glad everything is a-ok with you!

Mandaroo Odin does the same thing as Hank! Kind of hard to do any floor exercises w/ him around.

Pilates already done this morning. 5k on the tmill tonight followed by a new yoga class.

Maria Good news - glad it's only a strain.

Jenruns I, too, need a plan to follow. Otherwise I tend to slack off a bit. I need the accountability. Is that a Saint in your avatar? I've always wanted one - gave my dh a choice between a saint and a dane.

Good runs, all!

Auntie Moe - Good luck with the dance-your-ass-off plan

Maples - nothing like an easy run to clear out the cobwebs after a day of sitting on your keister in cars and conferences.

Jill - take care of that shin. I need to finish reading yesterday's thread - what happened?

Me - 4.5 on the mill, some striders\pickups over the last 3/4 mile.

Checked out the website and I've got a new 1st 1/2 marathon picked out.....Skunk Cabbage. I did not notice a 2008 date but 2007's was April 1st. I'm going to assume, for now, it's approximately the same time in 2008.

So now to find another good 1/2 training plan that is ~ 12 weeks long. Thoughts? Recommendations?

No runs or other activity for me today, I have choir practice this evening, and it would be rude to show up all stinky and sweaty from a run. They like to ask me about my races, but I figure I don't need to give them the smell-o-vision version.

It's cold and rainy here. Too bad it isn't likely to clear up, or I'd get in a walk at lunch time.
