5 around the lake with a buddy. Our annual Turkey Trot was at a quick 7:40'ish pace. First real run since JFK. Felt good.

I reckon about 8.7 miles in to town on one of my longer routes. Slow today, I feel tired. The snow / ice wasn't really a factor though.

Have fun on your runs guys!

Did the local 5K Turkey Trot. It is normally a 3.5 mile race, but they shortened it this year, so I was overtrained.

Was hoping to run < 8 min miles and was stunned to see my time posted as I was leaving - 23:15, a 7:29 pace. My fastest 5K in well over a year. It's not a hard course and the weather (48 degrees, misty) was great, but still. Best part about the race was having 2 beers < 9 AM. Have a great Turkey Day everyone!

Glad some people had some good runs...mine was trash today. EQ, I'm having garbage runs this week as well so hopefully this will pass soon. 10.1 miles for a PR for the slowest I've ever run it. 8:56 pace...I don't understand why I'm not even close to where I was this summer...took my two weeks rest and have been doing all easy mileage, and the wind wasn't all that bad today. Only like 13 mph. I really hope I don't bomb my race next week.

Same 5k as Arrojo. Had fun and felt really good. I don't have my official time as I had to leave to get the Thanksgiving feast finished up. Watch time was 23:51 (7:42). Hopefully official time isn't too far off that - they had me change gates just as I finished, so I don't know where they had me. Very happy with it!

8K Turkey Trot with IEatHills4Meals and my nephew. Since he has never raced, is 11 years old, and clearly had no idea how far 5 miles is, we finished in 1:19 something. But at least he covered the distance. I believe he's a tired boy today. Hee!

I had a great time, IEH4M did really well, and is great fun with a nice husband and cutie-pie daughter at the race. I'd like to do this race again next year and see what my time would be without all the walking breaks and running back to where my nephew was. It was a fun time, though.

Nice trotting and running! Gingerbread, that's so cool your nephew came with you.

My plan was to race a Turkey Trot at the same pace as dg1, but I woke up coughing and not really able to breathe so decided not to race. I downed some cold and cough medicine, and later my friend Chasing Amy (from CR) and I went out for an easy pre-feast 5 miles along the Delaware River in Philly. The first 3+ miles I had fantasies of going back to bed, but after that I felt revived.

Good thing you decided to take it easy, SGH! The 5 miles earned me a piece of pie. I did run more than five with all that running ahead and running back to my nephew, etc. Heh. I don't know if he'll ever run again, although I did try to be encouraging.
