Felt asleep at the start and slowly woke up during the run, by the end I felt okay. The moon was bright this morning but by the time I got done with my run it had set so my run was dark.

I ended up with 7.05 at a pace of 8:55. I'll take it.

Like FB, I had a sleepy start. Ended up with an 8.7 mile plod around the neighbohood. Thrilling. Legs tired and ankle getting sore again. Just a few more weeks and it'll be all over with. 40F and a bit breezy.

FB - nice job on the 7 and avoiding the werewolves.

Good morning all.

Nice sleepy runs FB and Asics!

I was running late so I did 8 on the canal path and made it a tempo run. Did it in roughly 51-52 minutes. Felt pretty good, but I definitely need to work on my speed...

Holy speedster loopy! Nice job. .

Great job with the sleepy miles FB and RA.

I got out for an early 11+ morning. I had a tempo run but when I went to grab my Garmin it was nowhere in sight. Apparently, my daughter was playing "running" yesterday and had my watch in her room. So, instead of fretting over a missed tempo I had my ironman watch and used that to time myself from point A to point B, hit the split button and tried to beat my time from B back to A. Decent tempo pace, although slower than what I would have run if I had my Garmin to eyeball, and my splits were within 12 seconds of each other.

Nice job on the intuitive tempo run Jill!

Enjoy your 5-7 and your sleep BBS.

Hey Jill, how long do you think the group run will take this weekend? I would like to try to go -- but would need to be able to make it home by 11 or so...

Sometimes those runs are nice FB and Asics. By the time you wake up, you realize you're halfway done.

Good to see you back out there Loopy. I was worried the world was coming to an end the other day when you didn't run.

Nice pacing sans-Garmin Jill.

Haven't you learned anything form this thread BBS. Sleeping and running apparently don't have to be done separately. Man up and multi-task out there.

Don't work too hard 4BM.

Super easy 7 this morning, but I did learn an important lesson this morning. Don't visualize future successful races while trying to keep your heart rate low. It doesn't work out so well.

Good morning. Nice job on the sleepy running and swimming and tempos and just generally getting out there today. I got up to 42* this morning. So I got in 5 miles in 43:29(8:41). It ended up being a nice run.

Morning ...

Kevin - Nice going. 42 eh? We haven't hit below 47 yet and that was just one day.

MBH - Those two things are clearly incompatable.

4boys - So, first a jump start and then a re-start?

BBS - Hmmm, run and then sleep...That's a bit different. Enjoy the cereal, the run and the rest.

Jill - Nice Garmin-less running.

Loopy - Ditto to what Jill said. Hard for me to imagine running those paces and having to work on speed.

RA - Yeah, sounds like a lot of fun :)l What's in a few weeks?

FB - Nice going. Is the Humidity giving you a break these days?

Doc said its flu not cold. Said it is typically running a week and a half which, if I'm in the middle 68% of folks I've got about 3-4 more days. She gave me cocktail in the butt (B12 and a couple of naturopathic remedies) that hurt for three hours. Still hacking but feel more energy today.

Morning all, flying by again. Gotta get ready for a meeting in 30 minutes, followed by half-hour break and then another meeting...

Hopefully I'll be able to get away for a late afternoon Yasso 800 workout. If not, it will have to be this evening at one the local tracks. Of course, that would mean missing the start of tonight's NLCS game but with the way my Phillies are stinking up the joint right now, maybe that's not such a bad thing.

Sorry, no time for comments right now. Have good runs, swims, bikes and whatever else everyone.

Presumably the butt shot was to take your mind off the flu.

A few weeks? My make up marathon then after that a turkey trot 5k and I'm done. I may not run a lot in December as I need a break from this year's suckfest.

Once again I didn't make it out of the office for a midday'er. Trying to escape now...somebody create a distraction, quick.
