7 with some mild hills this morning. Probably last day in shorts (31 degrees) for a while. Really enjoying getting back into the swing of things after my week off. Legs tired but not beat up by any means.

Getting our Y membership tomorrow. Looking forward to it, pool, TM, weights! I've never done much cross training and I don't plan on doing a ton, but mixing things up a bit will be nice.

Just back from 5.5 at lunch, on the trails. It was insanely windy... gusts to 55 mph! Lovely Colorado in the winter

good luck techgirl. I really like 8k's I ran 4 last year. It's a good distance 5 miles. My advice-start tword the back of the pack and take it easy for the first couple miles. If you are feeling good increase your pace the last couple miles. This will almost assure you of passing those who went out to hard the first couple of miles. Have fun and good luck.

Nothing like jumping from the frying pan into the fire! Which 50k are you looking at? A 50k isn't much worse than a marathon, plus you get to eat a lot more at the buffets...er...I mean aid stations

the 50k is a local one... sanctioned by the skin of its teeth (it is one of those fattest butt). no shirts or medals... I doubt the aid stations are going to be awesome either... however the first half the hills will be Kick Arse.

It is called Incline to Nodine. Starts in Lacrescent and goes to the top of Nodine and than back.

Gives my running some purpose however (more reason to get a 5-6 hour long run in feb)

28 easymiles Flounder... Honestly... You kill me with your workouts.
