6 recovery miles this morning. Felt beat after the 2 person relay at track last night. Alternating 400s for 6 miles total, 12*400 each. Finished in 33:20. I averaged ~1:22s with the 1st lap being slower and managed a 1:16 on the last. We beat my buddy and his kid... Ok he's 11 but he's flippin' fast.

FB - nice going
Dan- sleep is over rated.... Get you butt moving!

FB--nicely done. When will you start to get some better weather?

Dan--3am again?!

loopy--steady as usual.

Track workout this morning. Got it done before the kids arrived, so no students were harmed. 1.5m WU, then 800's. 4:04, 4:04, 4:04, 4:08, 4:12, 1m CD. Uh, yah, kinda died there... But, for whatever reason my quads have been shot, so just wasn't feeling it this morning. Oh well. Try again next week!

Out there early in the soup for 12 miles total w/ 20 and 10 minute MP segments in the middle with 7 minutes in between, straight from the BAA program I am supposedly following. The MP stuff averaged around 7:30 but felt a bit too hard in retrospect. Still pretty happy with it in this weather. Started at 5:15 and it was still dark midway through the run, finally had some light rain toward the end which was a relief. Next sunday's 20 is going to be first 16 very easy and last 4 at MP. It will be cooler weather and I will be wearing the HRM so should get a better gauge of where I am.

FB - good job on the 7

Dan - hope you are coffled up get a good one in. No time before the run today and I am enjoying my first cup now.

I am taking a rest day today. I went and checked one of my trail cameras this morning... I was kinda shocked to see it had taken 1166 pictues. Mainly does, but got a few bucks, couple ***** and this one coyote... actually got a pic of him peeing on my salt block! Bucks aren't much to right home about, I would shoot one w/ my bow but just because he is older, he ain't sporting much of a rack. I may try and post some pics later if anyone would like to see.

Good morning everyone. I got in 5.2 miles in 46:03(8:51). By the end of the run I was ready to get rolling and then I needed to be done. Nice job on all the running and resting and wildlife picture taking.

BBS- The kind of hunting I have done requires lots of hiking/walking and driving around to spot the deer/antelope. I have even shot an antelope from the back of a truck, but not while it was moving. Hopefully hunting will be good to you this year.

Kevin- I'm hoping it is too. I am kinda going back to the basics with hunting this year. I have been in a fairly expensive club for the past 5 years, didn't rejoin this year, gonna hunt around the house. Hopefully this will help me stay truer to my running schedule.

Good afternoon all,

It's hot here again but I got outside at lunchtime anyway despite the 90s temps. We did our "10k" loop (actually it's about 6.1 but oh well). After missing my run yesterday my legs wanted to go, plus I was wearing my Nike Frees, which are definitely my "fast" trainers. We started out pretty quick and I was feeling comfortable at about MP but my co-worker wasn't doing so well, so about halfway through we dialed it back to pretty much a jog pace. We still averaged low-8 minute mile pace for the whole thing.

Normally I'd throw in a second evening run, but I'm going to the Jimmy Buffett concert tonight. It's a Labor Day weekend ritual.

Happy running all...
