Is this thing on? Awfully quiet in here again.

Yea John, where you going? Hiya TW.

Nothing today, had an early Dr's appt. Plastic guy wasn't happy with how the surgery from my MOHS healed so he wanted to touch it up a little.

Loving the coolness in the morning, ran in it yesterday then opened the gym windows for my weight workout. Just delightful.

Is Milbot in jail? If not; he should be.

Going to run a little race in Marathon TX Saturday.

Hally - when we visited NYC I was astounded by all the gyms we saw in the dowtown bldgs. NYC facinates me on many levels.

tomwhite, when are you going to find a personal trainer with gym cred? I'm guessing you do upper body/lower body. Stretching thereafter? The only thing that popped into my tiny brain is that I found legwork "shortens" my muscles, so stretching was mandatory. What do you think about the x-bike tomorrow? Concerns?

Hally, nice run in the coolness. Hope all works out well with the touch-up.

Go go go, John!

Nuthin' yet. Short run later. Like irunmike, feeling groovy.

2.2 on the dirt. Knee still sore. Flex and core workout afterwards, and today I bumped the daily pushups to one set of 50. Feeling otherwise good. Maybe having a sore knee is a good thing because I would love to race Saturday! Not going to happen though.

Good luck in the race KS.

My oldest son, Spare Tire, has gotten a mess of tix for tomorrow night's opener between the Rangers and Yanks. We're flying Prime Rib home for it. Very excited. Spareribs

KS, I'm being a little dense here. Is that 26 miles + 385 yards you're racing this w/e?

And then there's that 4 letter acronym I now have to google. Anyway, nice w/o Hally!

No running for me today, but I had a good 90 minute session in the gym working all the parts. And then I got my flu shot. So I'm good to go.

Does Mill need bail money? I sure Ribs is good for it.

Big workout planned after work. There should be a law against using the word "work" twice in the same sentence to refer to totally different things. Work stuff: I had an exciting meeting this morning at the county bar assocation office. They're starting a new placement service and are going to try to help me with a lateral move to a firm. Depending on the firm, I could be making 3 times what I make now. Money isn't everything but I deserve better than the crap I go through sometimes.
TW....you're a brave guy...I wouldn't sass SS if I had the entire Turkish army at my back.........then again, if they were at my back, I might be running faster than SS

is that your veiled way of telling us you are tapering and running a marathon this weekend, OM?

is this a bacon free zone today? all the talk of bacon over on RA is making my stomach churn - and the pictures aren't helping! LOL

HI!

I have nothing to contribute today.

carry on . . .

oh, have a great time tonight Ribs! What color body/face paint will you be wearing? I'd like to see if I can find you when they pan the crazies in the crowd.

OM's doing a marathon? Cool!

Hush, PieJones. There's nothing like a sassy tomwhite. Ohyes.

Think you'd get time off to go running places, though, if you sign on with a Big Firm, Opie? The hierarchy of the big city law firm: juniors do all the work so the Muckety Mucks look good.

25' run at the lakes. A woman ahead of me had ski boots on with those boingy things on the bottom. She looked pretty goofy.

Not tapering, no. Taking a little time off for a slight injury and in the process I may have lost my mojo.

We do our chosen activity because we love it, yes? But when it turns into a chore, then it's time to take break. Am I out of sorts because I'm not running? Or am I not running because I'm out of sorts?

Ribs, enjoy the game.

KS, enjoy the race.

Everyone, enjoy the ride.

well OM put a kabosh on that rumor before it really even had to time to get off the ground

sorry about the eentsy weentsy injury. Hope it passes soon and exchanges for the lost mojo.

That will be fun for you Ribs. Getting to see the Yankees and all.

Spent another day in Western NY - rainy day between Buffalo, Rochester, now back in Buffalo, heading home to Albania tomorrow morning.

Ran 3 miles on the treadmill as a last workout before Saturday's 5k. 10:00 mile warm up, then 1/4 mile at 8:00 pace, 1/8 mile at 6:57 pace, 1/8 mile at 6:00 pace, 1/2 mile at 8:00 pace, and a 10:00 mile cool down. I'm glad I almost never have to run on a treadmill.

SS, good point about law firms but the placement director knows my situation with 18 years experience and isn't going to offer me the same spot as a first-year associate, which means I'm probably not going anywhere unless that Seattle Univ. job comes through.

OM, I'm sure your mojo will come back soon and that you're grateful for your running progress. I look at running this way-it can be a chore when we're training for a race with time goals. Otherwise, it's just fun.
