No word yet on baby arrival, so another morning in the Peak District not to be wasted and a 6Km run this morning, along the canal to the wonderfully named Bugsworth Basin - and back. Nice and steady with my hostess, but another very enjoyable run along old routes.

Hope all are well and the summer temps in North America don't put you off too much.

Hi Liam and KS

I am lucky enough to live in the same small town I grew up so I run all the same routes I always have. This morning was Nirvana getting out a little sooner when it was 70° and 80% humidity. Warmed up to 77° by the end of the run as the sun came out but the humdity went down and I wasn't overheated at all.

My route was a fairly flat 5 miles and I started out the first loop in 38:24. Picked it up the second loop but never pushed the effort and ran it in 36:11. The last 4.18 miles were around town in a little quicker pace of 7:02. Total for the run was 14.18 miles in 1:44:01 (7:20/mile).

Felt like I could have done more but didn't want to chance my right calf. Therapist worked on it a little yesterday and it is tight but held up well on the run. I am keeping the running to every other day and that is really helping the legs feel better.

Time to hydrate as I lost 8 lbs during the run
